here some info about the group along with the DL link
Influenced by the Bar-Kays, Thomas Bucknasty was an obscure east coast funk unit that recorded in New York and Philadelphia in the early '80s. The forceful, aggressive band signed with RCA in 1980 and their debut album, Blast-O-Funk, was produced by T. Life. The album received very little attention and Thomas Bucknasty broke up without ever recording a second album. Members of the outfit included lead singers Thomas McNeil and Lawrence Newton, lead guitarist Michael "Skeets" Davis, rhythm guitarist Clayton Johnson, bassist Bobby "Silver" Byrd, saxman/percussionist Michael Saunders, and drummer Chuck Lee. Perhaps if Bucknasty had stayed together long enough, it might have developed into something special. But one can only speculate because the band never recorded a second album. Out of print since the early 1980s, Blast-O-Funk is unlikely to ever be reissued on CD http://rapidshare.com/fil...t_Funk.rar You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam! | |
