From listening to this, it seemed like Jackie Wilson was a disease instead of an person lol coz alot of these cats were sure got affected by him.

I just heard the Isleys' very earliest recordings in the mid-1950s ("The Cow Jumped Over the Moon", "Angels Cried"), and I think they were also affected with the Frankie Lymon and Clyde McPhatter flus too. smile

Mmhmm nod Esp on their Don't Be Jealous song.

I think they started to find their voice when Jimi Hendrix walked into the picture.

I agree. And once they left Motown, "It's Your Thing" helped to make them their own group slowly but surely. nod
