He sure does! lol Vainandy's rants are humorous and tongue in cheek, but this one is downright cruel!

Thank you. hug

A few years ago, a friend asked me what I would say to her if I ever met her in person. I told him that I would say....

Ms. Houston...(I would address her by her last name because I'd be afraid that I'd slip and say Shitney if I addressed her by her first name lol )

Anyway....I'd say....

Ms. Houston....

I really love some of your husband's music.

And if she asked me what I thought of her music, I'd say.....

Oh, are you a singer? I don't think I've ever heard any of your songs. I'm a huge funk fan myself but I only like real funk, none of that weak watered down crossover stuff. I don't think I've ever heard any of your songs before. What kind of music do you make?

Then my friend asked if I would get her autograph if she offered it to me and I said ....

"Hell yeah! Honey, them autographs are worth money and the way that heffer is smoking that crack, an autograph from a dead celebrity is worth a lot more than an autograph from a live one". lol

Where is the problem. She is getting older and it´s clear that the lost vocal power it´s normal. The voice is like a muscle and it´s normally the strongest when you´re 30-40. Do you really sing Prince can perform Baby I´m a star like in the 80s?? You´re all tripping!

Sorry, with all the respect I have for Whitney, it's clear that she had a really great voice back then but I don't think she lost it because it's a normal situation.
If that were a normal case, Donna Summer, who I really consider The Voice, wouldn't be singing this song like this after 33 years of having recorded it.

Isn't she 60 already?

Her voice has changed too, but it's not damaged and she still can deliver it.
This is an audience video from this year, but her voice is clear enough.

Could it be Magic

BTW, I don't know how to insert the videos here.

I watched some of her speech at some listening party and it sounded like Clive Davis guilted her into coming back.

As talented as Whitney is.....my musical world would NOT be a single note different if I had NEVER heard her sing.

I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, you think that. Unless you don't listen to anything after 1984, I don't believe you. You may not own any Whitney Houston but I bet some of the artists you do own have been influenced by her.
Shit, I was introduced to Eddie Vedder (of Pearl Jam) at a QUEEN LATIFAH CONCERT. You never know who is listening to what and what inspires them to make the music they make.
Whitney was the type of vocalist that after hearing her, will make someone go home and try to step their game up, regardless of the style of music they do.
You just never know.

There is no way 2 prove that theory. I'm speaking strickly about her and her (non) impact on me.

Exactly! That's exactly why I only like very few artists that came out after 1984 except for the scarce funk that was still around and the underground house music.
