You certainly have cats on here that dug your band. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Hi Japanrocks! One never knows, do one? Anything could happen in 2010, especially with all three bands working.....

Hi Japanrocks! One never knows, do one? Anything could happen in 2010, especially with all three bands working..... Seems like now would be the time with so many groups getting back together. Perhaps a festival of sorts like Ozzfest but, of course, way better. Weapon of Choice could play too. Robert Randolph, Ben Harper, etc. They could call Sly or George Clinton. Hell, Prince could be the headliner. Or even Lenny Kravitz. Anyway.....nice to see y'all are back together. I think I remember watching a Spyz show once with Fishbone opening or headlining. Did that ever happen?

Jimi!
Wow! Where do I begin? Aside from the thanks for all the wonderful classic material The Spyz have given us over the years, I've got to say that: 1. Its because of your version of 7 & 7 is that got me into the genius of Arthur Lee and Love in the first place. 2. No one! (and I mean no one) can claim Along Comes Mary--I still have your mind blowing version swimming around in my brain to this day. 3. I was fortunite to hang with Jeff for about 3 years after he came down to Harrisonburg and joined Egypt, and that was especially cool because we all shared the same tour circuit and he had nothing but wonderful things to say. --but-- I'd love to share a memory that you've probably forgotten about... Y'all came to my university (James Madison) to do a gig in support of the Harder Than You album and turned the joint out! I had a promo copy of the CD early and had turned all of my bandmates on to it. So, We made it a point to have a "field trip" to the Spyz gig to enjoy and study. Our lead singer (Jeremiah) decided to stage dive for the first time---right on to his head and... *cue the ambulance, cue the music stopping, cue his severe concussion, etc..* Funny thing was, as they were carting him out, you got on the mic and said: "Yo! if you can't handle the pit, don't get in the pit!" I was in the front row, Jeremiah was next to me the whole night until his "accident"..You turned, looked at me and said: "You know this dude?" I nodded and said, "yeah, he's the lead singer in the band..." You just shook your head.. So, lights go down and The Spyz get back to and then get to Grandma Dynomite! Fluid looks down at me mouthing the words, pulls me up on stage, gives me the mic and leaves; So, I'm on stage singing the tune: You're on the left, Rick is on the right and Anthony is behind me and y'all are killing it! Wow! Fluid eventually comes back on stage, force feeds me some velveeta cheese and the song ends... *punchline* Before y'all pulled out, you were nice enough to autograph a poster for the lead singer's foibles... On the poster you wrote, "Dear Jeremiah, Shit Happens, Love Jimi"..... That still cracks me up and he still has it! Much respect, Jshua [Edited 9/1/09 16:01pm]
