MJ Recorded The Coca-Cola Song In 1991 for the Dangerous ablum before he was certain Pepsi would again sponsor him, Michael Jackson recorded a beautiful full version of "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" aka "It's The Real Thing". I only heard it once, and that's because he played it for me (and about 6 other people) in consideration for the upcoming videos our company would go on to produce. Does anyone know if this has been leaked or perhaps included on some compilation I do not know about?
Also, while I'm at it, Michael Jackson also recorded the "Be A Pepper" song for Dr. Pepper in a radio spot that ran for a few months in 1978. Has anyone here ever come across the audio for that? [Edited 9/1/09 9:21am] [Edited 9/1/09 9:21am] [Edited 9/1/09 9:22am] [Edited 9/2/09 7:47am]

Interesting, not heard of this. 'Someone Put Your Hand Out' was a Pepsi promo around that time. never heard of him doing anything for Coke before. What i would really like is a CD quality version of 'When You Wish Upon A Star' which appeared on the 'Legend Continues' VHS back in the day. I know it must exist, perhaps somebody is holding on to it somewhere. [Edited 9/1/09 9:32am]

It wasn't a song, just him and his brothers saying doing a small radio spot "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Do you have it? I had only heard it on the radio at the time, but never forgot it.

Do you have it? I had only heard it on the radio at the time, but never forgot it. It's on a Dr. Pepper promo LP. I read about it on The Michael Jackson Vault "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I do remember him singing, "I'm a Pepper" at the end of the spot. I'm pretty hardcore j5/mj, my memory doesn't usually fail me. BTW, I like Prince too. The first time I saw him perform live was in 1980 at Flippers Roller disco, which is now a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and LaCienega in West Hollywood, CA. I waited for him to leave after the show, and he exited in the back of the building. I did not realize his height until then. For several days later I'd see him riding in the back of a taxi down Sunset Blvd. near Highland Avenue. I have only ever seen him live in intimate settings. I worked on the "Cream" and "Diamonds & Pearls" videos with Rebecca Blake (who at one time was a friend). [Edited 9/1/09 22:38pm]

We know that Michael was a junkie, but isn't this going too far?

It's taken from the 1980 Disneyland 25th Anniversary TV special when he did a medley with that, Ease On Down The Road and Follow The Yellow Brick Road
