"I Don't Want To Know" by Gladys Knight (1994)

This has got to be one of Babyface's most underrated songs music I love the lyrics! Gladys has had enough of her man mistreating her and she's not gonna take it anymore. Her attitude seems to be "Pack your shit and get out....I don't wanna hear no excuses or apologies.Just leave, goddamit!" lol

Why should I care about your feelings
when you don't give a damn about mine?

Well,I don't want to know
I couldn't care less about your feelings
Don't you know, you shoulda cared more about mine
And I don't want to know
It really doesn't mattter why you're leaving
You should know, you're really throwin' away your life
and I won't sympathize
You've hurt me for the last time
I've got no tears left to cry....say goodbye

Interestingly, during that era,Babyface was writing alot of songs with that theme:

"I Don't Want To Know" by Gladys Knight (1994)
"Take A Bow" by Madonna (1994)
"Willing To Forgive" by Aretha Franklin (1994)

Yes he was.

Love this one, though.

It's probably her best 90s single.

Love this song. I have the cassette-single. I believe it has both the radio edit and the album version. Very heartbreaking song... sad

Cassette single? You should upgrade to the cd. It's on amazon for 2 cents. ;-D

It's really a good album. Nothing way over the top, but definitely worth buying the cd. "Home Alone" from Jam and Lewis is a good one. The remake of "Choice of Colors" is good, too (it's from the Curtis Mayfield tribute album also). So, I would say get it (if you can find it cheap).

I have about 50 or so of them still. Mostly maxi-singles. I NEVER PLAY THEM anymore. Usually, when I got cassette singles, it was a teaser for the album and I ended up getting the cd anyway.

Do they still make them? I see cassette players all of the time, but not the walkmans.
