Lisa Stansfield is NOT a one-hit wonder!
You must've forgotten "All Around the World", "You Can't Deny It", "This is the Right Time" and "Change". And so is Taylor Dayne. "I'll Always Love You", "Love Will Lead You Back", etc. Anyway, here's one of my favorite "one-hit wonder" joints: [Edited 8/28/09 13:43pm]

Jasmine Guy- Just want to hold you
Positive K- I got a man Now those are 1 hit wonders... A stupid man’s report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.

That's my favorite, too! This and that version of "It takes two",(to make a thing go right), by the Cover Girls are two records that are totally different from their originals. You might argue that "The Cover Girls" song is totally different from the Rob Base song...But, their song has parts if his song. Lisa Stansfied and Taylor Dayne are not one-hit wonders A one-hit wonder is somebody like Anita Ward, who had one major hit,"Ring My Bell",in 1979.She released a few more singles but they flopped and she faded away.I can name numerous Taylor Dayne hits.

Jasmine had more singles after try me. I dig another like my lover. It's obviously"I love the way you love me" part 2. Just want to hold you sound good as well. I guess since i wasn't impressed with Try Me, i didn't even expect Jasmine to release anything better. [Edited 8/28/09 18:33pm] Don't laugh at my funk

"Just Want to Hold You" was the third single and it received a lot of radio spins in my area. Did you notice James Ingram on backing vocals? I like "Try Me," BTW (or "Try May" as she calls it). You guys have some strange ideas about what one hit wonders are....In the US, Taylor Dayne's "Greatest Hits" speaks for itself (well, except toward the end when it got lazy and added remixes).
Now this is a one hit wonder! As for Exposé and Nu Shooz, two different "Point of No Return"s. Exposé's had the bigger hit. While many do consider Nu Shooz's one hit wonders, I definately remember their "Point Of No Return" being played after the fact.
