I like these three songs.
I enjoyed how everyone got the meaning of "Born In The USA" wrong. He had a nice red-headed tambourine killing wife. This features my High School LE Rabouin in disguise. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

The best Springsteen album is "Bat Out Of Hell" by Meat Loaf. Produced by Todd Rundgren.
It was a "send up" or "parody" of Bruce's overwrought style. http://www.youtube.com/wa...LyQDXlLojI "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

I appreciate him when I'm on the toilet straining to shit. I don't feel quite as constipated in comparison to his voice. Andy is a four letter word.

I loved the fact that when Ronald Regan asked Bruce if he could use "Born In The USA" for his political campaign and he poliely told him "Hell No"....He really is anothe Bob Dylan,a musician with convictions and principels that no amount of money can sell out....

Yeah, and I liked when Fawn Hall (if you have to ask, you're too young) asked if she could get backstage at a Bruce concert. Bruce reportedly said, "I don't like you, I don't like your boss, and I don't like what you did".
Awesome! And to all you Bruce haters, well...never mind. Rock is for some people, and not for others, I guess.

yeah people just don't get his music. It's like how Jersey was going to make Born to Run their state song... "It's a death trap it's a suicide rap we got to get out while we're young because tramps like us baby we were born to run" Even I misunderstood Glory Days when I was young, thinking Bruce himself was celebrating apple pie glory days. But he's much more cynical (and optimistic at the same time) than that, and I love it! My Legacy

Man we must be like two peas in a pod 'cause I didn't understand Born In The USA till I saw my grandfather flashback on Vietnam as if 30 years was just last week. I loved My Hometown too and it really hit home when I'd watch Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld and all their propaganda about the "War On Terror", see the recruiters crusin high schools and malls like pimps in camoflague, and havin to hear the words "I'm sorry there's nothin we can do to help you. The company is moving operations/losing money/can't afford to let anyone else mop these floors for peanuts".....
