She needs to heal from grief right now! If she attempts it now her finished product would probably be piss poor. I don't think Janet would use Michael as a cash cow, especially not now.

One could NEVER heal correctly from losing a family member. Janet was working on an album before Michael passed, so it would be bad taste for Janet to put her album on hold to "heal". If anything, I think finishing up the album now will give her more inspiration.

You know, I have thought about this also. Honestly, I don't think Janet should release anything right now.

With the Grammy Awards coming up in a few months, I would love to see Janet do the opening performance at this year's awards. I would love to see her do something that would be a tribute to MJ and maybe she could incorporate her brothers in the performance in some way.

My first thought would be to have Janet appear on stage and hold the pose while the audience cheers (about 2 min) then she goes into a RN medley to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the album. Then when you think it's over, 5 spotlights come up and they all do a song together in tribute to MJ. That could easily be the most memorable Grammy performance ever.

Bad taste! Maybe Latoya can open the show with Heart Don't Lie and a cover of Wanna Be Startin Somethin'

I am looking forward to see what she got in store and she is working on things and we should see what she got in store in 2010.
I followed her on twitter and plus I am part of her offical facebook page.

I love how Michael used to call her Dinks how cute.

How is it bad taste for her to do a tribute to her brother on the Grammy awards? I think (if it is done right) Janet could get her career back on track and maybe have a successful new album.

Maybe. But no MJ covers!! She should perform Together Again love
The deeper remix and than she can progress into the original version and break out dancing! That would be awesome!

Come on, she would not ever perform that remix.

As for the guys getting on stage and performing and Janet on stage with them has such great potential. Besides, if they perform a Jacksons or J5 cut, it won't be a "cover". The brothers did sing on those songs. wink

Why? sad I love the remix!
Janet should perform alone. TBH-No one really cares for the other Jacksons

you can't do a REDESIGN of the Decade. any new compilation must pick up where the last one left off. i'd say include life DVD clips of RWY tour highlights and do a Jam & Lewis club banger as a lead single to build interest in their reuniting with her.

After SB she should've focused on the WW markets rather than America since they already snubbed her but enough with the "if's" and "buts" lol

the world gave up on her during the All For You era. he last big world wide hit was Together Again.

Actually it was 'all for you' the single, which was #1 on the European chart my friend. I think you are confusing her biggest hit with her last hit!

Yes, that definitely qualifies as a global hit, going Top 5 in many countries.

I like the remix also, but she's not going to do it.

The reason I think it would be cool for J and her brothers to perform at the Grammys is because it would be one of the best ways to get her career back on track and make the public fall in love with her again. A lot of people still haven't forgiven her for the Superbowl and this would definitely reestablish her.

Not to mention it would be 10x better than anything the Grammy's could come up with for a tribute. They would probably try to let someone like JT or Britney do the tribute. confused

let's face it, the grammys will be all about MJ this year. janet is the only one with any talent so its a no brainer she should do something. the dilemma is how to do it paying homage and not coming off like your milking your brother's death for your own personal gain. doing her stuff AND his would not be a good move, a tribute should be all about MJ and his music. she could put together a bad ass mega mix type of performance, incorporating his biggest hits into one 13 minute long opening performance. we'll see...

I forgot to add, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER NEXT PROJECT, and Album

I truly believe all eyes will be on janet. This will be her big moment.

But most people expect greatness from janet. I don't understand how certain artist in janet's age rage who has been around for 20 years, can make crappy trendy hip-hop music and get a free pass, but janet doesn't.

I think people truely expect greatness from janet jackson.

I don't think it should be a tribute to Michael, seeing that this is JANETS greatest hits album .. She should save the tribute for her actual album.

I think that the public especially since the passing of MJ are ready for Miss J and already put the Super Bowl behind them. They are waiting for her next move but right now the wait is very patient due to the obvious reasons.

The ones who still have not forgiven her are likely were either not fans of hers to the begin with or bunch of old conservative bigots so therefore screw them.
