I love that Madonna kept it real. She was my favorite. & I was disappointed with the tribute but whatever. I'm now convinced that Madonna wanted a piece of Mike.

Yeah. Jermaine said during his interview before the show that he ad no clue about the tribute, which was a lie because him and Joe wouldn't have been there just to be there. They knew about it.

That's what he said. lol They were talking to him on the carpet, and the guy he was talking to said something about some people not knowing about the MJ tribute, and he said he did'nt either. The guy told him that Janet had been there all day rehearsing, and Jermaine said well if Janet's involved,it's going to kick ass.

So did he just find out that somehting was happening the same day it was happening? confuse

Doggone it, he looked great. And I actually LOVE his eyebrows, lol.

Michael appears healthy in these screenshots, and yet, he did not look like this a year later in 2008, and especially not this year. If he was alright, as those AEG folks are claiming, he would have had this facial appearance in those "This Is It" rehearsals, 'cause this is the best he'd looked since 1999. But look at this footage, and then watch the new trailer. It's like it's two different people....

The difference is the lighting. Have you ever been to a club where certain lighting made you feel like damn that dude is fine or that girl is fine and you see them when bright lights come on and your like WTF.

Reddish type club lighting or thats not to bright you cant notice MJ's facial problems but when its stage lighting u see it.

One nice touch with the tribute that no one in the media seems to have picked up was that in all the Michael clones dancers, whilst dressed in michael from award shows, michael from beat it, michael from on stage, michael from mtv dangerous performance, etc there wasn't an MJ from BAD, of an MJ in Thriller outfit, or MJ in smooth criminal or MJ in scream - instead they were reserved for the man on the screen.

I thought the tribute was fitting.

Michael Jackson's envious sister

10 hours 54 mins ago
Bangshowbiz bangshowbiz.com

Michael Jackson's half-sister JohVonnie Jackson claims meeting him was "the biggest letdown" of her life.

JohVonnie - whose mother Cheryl Terrell had a 25-year affair with Michael's father Joe - says the late singer was "disinterested" and "cold" when she finally met him in 2003.

Then 29 years old, JohVonnie was thrilled when she was invited to Michael's Neverland ranch after years of attending his concerts but was shocked to discover the star was far more interested in her eight-year-old daughter.

She said: "It was a big moment for me. But Michael was looking at me and seemed cold. He just said, 'Hi', and then he saw my daughter Yasmine and was fascinated with her.

"He never acknowledged that I was his sister, there was no hug or kiss, not even a handshake. No physical contact at all.

"I wanted to embrace him. I thought he would want to go some place quiet and sit and talk with me and ask me about my life and get to know me a little better. It was very hurtful. He was not interested at all."

However, Michael - who died of acute Propofol intoxication on June 25 - was very affectionate to Yasmine, which upset her mother.

JohVonnie added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "With my daughter he was totally different. She got hugs and kisses, everything I didn't get. I was a little jealous. But there was a bunch of people there and I never did get a chance to speak to Michael properly. Again, there was this theme that I felt shut out."

JohVonnie, now 35, never saw the 'Bad' singer again. She claims she is still being shunned by her other famous siblings.

Meanwhile, Michael's older sister La Toya has claimed the star "constantly" feared for his life.

In an interview with Barbara Walters, she said: "I knew Michael was surrounded by people that positioned themselves in his life, positioned themselves to control and take advantage of him.

"And that's what bothered me more than anything else because I knew something terrible would happen at the end.

"Not to mention the fact that Michael constantly told me, 'La Toya... if I die... they're going to murder me, they're going to kill me.' "

I feel sorry for her a bit when I read that. Yeah she's Joe's child, but still. If I were in that same position as she was, I'd feel hurt.

I can understand why he would'nt have been as welcoming as she expected Michael to be. If my father had cheated on my Mom,and had another kid,and then I was introduced to them 29 years later,I sure as hell would'nt be greeting them with hugs, and kisses either.

Its hard to judge MJ's ability by those clips.

It'll easier once people get to see the whole thing.

It looks impressive so far.

But like a book, you can't judge it by its cover.

Very true, they use lots of cuts to maximize and isolate things, not much to tell anything from it. I'll see it of course but I don't expect much. Michael looks skeletal in some shots. wasn't age getting him necessarily, Astaire, Calloway, Nicholas brothers all did demanding shit at older ages than he was. He let himself go sometime ago I think and it's hard to get back into things when you're like that, everyone goes through that in life.

Yesterday I was reading about Bill Cosby's accusers claiming that he drugged and molested them. Their were 13 of them, I was shocked. This happened several years ago and somehow I heard little about it. It looks like they would have had much more proof to go after Bill than they ever thought of having against Michael, 13 accusers, accusers with nothing to gain but support the recent accuser. In the end he settled it relatively quietly, paid the woman. Allegations include groping, throwing a woman down and attempting to rape her, just dark shit that Cosby never seemed to have inside him. Amazing how America terribly chastises some powerful people and leaves others alone. Terrible how we treat our women though, just terrible. Our country has problems.

I picked these up from another site. Idk where they got the info from though.
Brooke Shields used to call him on the phone a lot. This was the pre-cell phone era, so I would usually answer his calls and then have to go find him in the studio. She was always really nice to me.
This is true. Sheryl said in a VH1 interview that she and the band used to make bets every night on if MJ would get an erection during their duet. Apparently, he always got one when he sung "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" with her.

liz had her panties in a bunch with any woman/male vrying for mike attention like herself, which is probably why her and LMP hated each other lol.

i remember a old newspaper article ( i see if i can find it) but if about when the neverland staff knew that LMP was there to stay for a long time and wasnt just some fling. they mentioned it was when she started giving his neverland staff orders , which was surprising to most of them since no woman that had been in that house usually give order and according to them even liz had to ask mike first before she gave orders but LMP before they even got married was already behaving like lady of the house; which according to the staff mike just allowed her.

Q&A to Sheryl Crow:
Q.You were Jackson's background singer on his Bad tour. What's the freakiest thing you saw backstage?

A.The opening show in Europe was a complete and total circus, verging on freak show. You had Sophia Loren and her camp on one side and Liz Taylor's camp on the other, and it was a real battle for Michael's attention. For someone who'd just left Missouri and moved to California, to be suddenly rubbing elbows with Sophia Loren and Quincy Jones and Bubbles the traveling chimp was pretty surreal.

About LMP:
I remember hearing that he would go to Barney's in NYC with a model that was her size and then pick out dresses for her. When he found a dress he would buy them all so that she would be the only one with it

This is not her fault. She's a result of certain circumstances which occurred which are not in her own control.

Its her mother that they should be angry at and being cold towards, not Joh-Vonnie

True, but never having met him in the 29 years of her life, she had no right to expect him to greet her with open arms. He did'nt know her,he only knew that she was his father's daughter from another woman.

A secret Michael Jackson single is being produced... and set to be a huge hit.

Jacko recorded the song for release with his planner summer tour.

It was shelved after the 50-year-old singer's death in June but now producers in Los Angeles have remixed the vocals with an orchestral accompaniment.

A record label source said: "It sounds awesome. The size and scope of the orchestra hasn't been seen since Ray Charles recorded Georgia. Everyone expects a huge hit.

"But they're worried about it getting out - they've hired huge bodyguards to stand by the studio door."

The song will promote the Jackson documentary This Is It, in cinemas worldwide next month.

I feel like it's gonna be some ol' sad "For All Time" kind of record. Right when they said "orchestra"

Mods please create another thread and this time make it a sticky. He might be gone but dont stop making MJ sticky.

I cant wait to hear this album. MJ loves classical music and I wished he made one when he was alive. That what I wished MJ was doing producing and help some of these newer cats with the music instead of doing that silly farwell tour. He would still be here. sad

Michael Jackson wrote a novel

New York publishers are involved in a bidding war for the rights to a secret novel Michael Jackson wrote.

It is not known when the King of Pop put pen to paper and wrote the fictional account of a rock star's struggles with money and fame at the height of his success.

A source tells Essence.com the untitled book mirrors Jackson's own rise to superstardom and self-imposed seclusion.

Insiders claim the late star conceptualized the plot and characters - and then worked with a collaborator on the story and accompanying illustrations.
