Lisa Marie also came to the afterparty according to the owner of the restaurant who spoke with the TV Guide channel. She supposedly spent alot of time with Janet chatting away and hung out with the Jackson family all night long with the excecption of Katherine, Joe, MJ's kids and Liz Taylor. It got too late. | |

Gans’ manager Chip Lightman tastefully chose the day of Michael Jackson’s funeral (pictures) to announce that he’s been hired by Jackson’s brother Jermaine to help launch a “comeback,” beginning with convention and corporate bookings. According to Norm Clarke in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Lightman (known for phoning beauty queen-turned-TV entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs in the early hours of May 1st to inform her that her good friend had been pronounced dead only minutes earlier) has not booked any Vegas gigs. Norm says Lightman “employed a similar strategy with Gans, who went on to become a Las Vegas headliner sensation. “Lightman said Jermaine Jackson, who had limited success as a solo act, is putting together a show based on his hits (two top 10 entries), Jackson 5 hits and a tribute to Michael. “Jermaine, who sang Michael’s favorite song, ‘Smile,’ at his brother’s memorial, plans to hire some of Michael’s musicians, said Lightman. …Jermaine recently announced he was organizing a tribute to Michael in Vienna, Austria, and promised 1 billion TV viewers. But no family members agreed to participate. “Larry King’s wife, Shawn, was initially involved, but pulled out.” Another connection: Shawn King was set to perform with Danny Gans at the Wynn Resorts’ Encore Theatre on May 2nd. Lightman has been booking some acts into Gans’ theatre at the Encore. A bejeweled white glove Michael Jackson tossed to an Australian fan more than a decade ago sold at auction Sunday for 57,600 Australian dollars ($48,400), almost twice the estimated selling price.Warwick Stone, a buyer for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, beat out five other bidders for the late King of Pop's glove, said Charlotte Stanes, spokeswoman for the Melbourne auction house Bonhams and Goodman. The estimated selling price before the auction was AU$30,000. "We are very happy with the result," Stanes said. "It's the first glove we know about in Australia." Bonhams and Goodman said it was the first auction of a Michael Jackson glove since his death on June 25 this year at age 50. Jackson visited Australia in 1996 as part of his HIStory world tour. While in Sydney, he attended the Australian premiere for the film "Ghosts," in which he had a starring role.
