So I guess I was a bad person for wearing a flowered skirt to my dad's service? I've actually never been to a service where very many people wore black. shrug

This kind of stuff is what disturbs me about people and funerals. Do you think the deceased or your god gives a shit what you're wearing or if you're mourning from afar? I think it's silly that the brothers all dressed the same, as if they were appearing in a show or something. (and it seems they are after reading about the reality show...) lol

she looked out of place.. it looked like something one would wear to a wedding as a guest. and it was just ugly she could wear flowers but a better pattern for summer and a funeral. As far as the brothers it was a silent way of showing them as a unit and yes even in grief pictures would be taken what better way to honor their brother to be dressed in the best.

That's true, but you've never seen Marvin's family and friends putting on glittery wool hats (or kufis) to honor Marvin. giggle

Just saying. biggrin It's a great form of appreciation. wink

once again, showing my age. that's probably dave dave. he was once known as david rothenberg, i believe. i remember this story from the mid-80s b/c it was so horrific.

david's parents were going thru a divorce and to get back at his wife, david's father took him to a motel and set the room on fire with david in it.

Michaels known both of them since they were young. Debbie was good looking, maybe klein was too and Michael knew that

I gotta see how they look like when they were younger, they never show pictures of them as youngsters/young adults. Especially since MJ knew them since, what, the early '80s?

trust me timmy klein is not the father. he probably didnt look any different when he was younger. i'll say it again if US weekly had never came up with that bullshit rumor nobody would have ever looked twice at klein and even considered him to be the father. its the power of suggestion.

plus i've noticed in pictures of klein he doesn't even have almost jet black eyes like prince he just has regular medium brown eyes. and i swear i saw an interview of him from the 90's on one of those entertainment shows and his eyes look dark blue or something.

Randy Jackson: Don't Air Footage of MJ's Funeral

Posted Sep 4th 2009 9:27PM by TMZ Staff

Randy Jackson is furious footage of Michael's funeral at Forest Lawn is being broadcast all over the world, saying it was a private event and not meant for the public to see.

Jackson just released a scathing statement condemning those who violated the no-fly zone over Forest Lawn last night -- asking all media organizations to refrain from airing footage of the event.

Here's Randy's full statement:

"As a family, we are all aware of how Michael's life, and his death, touched so many around the world. It is why we held a public memorial in my brother's honor.

And it is the reason we chose to release a small amount of footage leading up to yesterday's ceremony at Forest Lawn.

I was dismayed last night and again today at the coverage I saw on television of our ceremony for Michael. We had asked the media to respect the privacy and the sanctity of this event; to give us one moment of privacy to mourn as a family out of the public spotlight.

Unfortunately, despite a no-fly zone around Forest Lawn, many media organizations decided to ignore our wishes. They employed helicopters that not only surreptitiously recorded our private family ceremony, but also severely disrupted it.

I therefore ask today that media organizations airing helicopter footage of the ceremony we held for my brother immediately pull that footage from their air and refrain from airing it in the future."

That was a great jumpsuit on Marvin, you have to admit. Plus the platform boots? You couldn't tell me dude was not STYLIN' AND PROFILIN'! lol

And like you said it was just Michael's brothers, so I just imagined if Frankie Gaye and Marvin's pallbearers all had one. falloff
