re dearmother - fat isn't usually determined by genes, so just because someone's bio dad is fat, if theyre raised to eat healthy they'll usually be fine... but anyway, that was just a comment about passing on the fat, not really about the possibility that klein is/isnt the daddy, because i dont really care for that discussion.

As for certain people being at the funeral/not being at the funeral, i think people definitely deal with these in different ways. If I had any real choice and wouldnt be shunned for it, when my parents pass, I'd choose not to attend the funeral. It's too much for me. I am not a pretty mourner. Snot pours out of my nose, and I make weird throaty sounds when I try to hold back sobbing. Also, I'm no good at being strong for the sake of other people. if I'm just a friend of the family, and I see a widow's look of grief I burst out into tears as if I've been more affected by the person's passing. That's not the case, it's just that seeing other people cope with their loss makes me really sad for them and I cannot hold anything back. Then I worry that people think I'm just being a drama queen or something, but its honestly something I cant contain.

if you read my post that's what i'm implying teach prince not to be fat, means eating healthy. i think maybe it's like 50/50 genes environment who knows

despite what we say about klein he isn't horrendously ugly aside from the weight factor

Christian Audigier Buys Neverland Ranch

September 04, 2009
by: Bridget Dal

The Neverland Ranch has just gotten a new owner! According to reports, Christian Audigier has just purchased the estate. According to AFP, Audigier bought the $90 million ranch to serve as his company’s headquarters for Ed Hardy.

Audigier said in an interview, "I can have the house in one month now. I get the keys two weeks from today."

He’d planned on turning the house into a museum to honor Michael, but hasn’t been able to obtain authorization to do so. So now instead, Christian will open the doors of the estate on each anniversary of Michael’s death in June, and organize exhibits and shows.

A article today said it was the mansion not the ranch lol

According to the Santa Barbara County’s Clerk-Recorder-Assessor, no paperwork has been filed transferring ownership of the Neverland Ranch or grounds to anyone.

Well it IS Michael Jackson, you know how some of us are. lol I can be a nut when it comes to MJ sometimes. But not in this significance. lol

"WHY DID DIANA ATTEND?!"
Like I give a damn. lol Where was WEBSTER? lol

STOP! In the name of love! razz

Personally, I think Ross should have attended both services. Just like Gordy did. She didn't, that's her thing. I'm very hip to how people responded when Diana went to Ballard's funeral. Lot of that reaction though was based on her relationship with Florence BEFORE she died. I'm also very hip to the fact that everybody grieves differently and the whole 9. Everybody KNOWS that. My point was and is that if Diana wasn't going to attend EITHER service, then she shouldn't have put it out there that she WAS going to so. Therefore it would have never been announced in the media that she was going to go. Then she wouldn't have folks who were in charge of organizing the speakers, waiting on her untill the 12 hour, only to find that she's not coming, like at the memorial. To put it out there that you're coming when you know that you're not... to do that TWICE doesn't come across as coincidence. If she didn't want to attend either service, then right on for her. But after she didn't show at the memorial and they had to wing it with Smokey, which actually turned out better than if Diana had shown. But for her to say that she was going to the actual funeral and then NOT show to that as well,...that's my point. Why say TWICE that you're going to attend at all?

Michael Jackson Sings with the Angels, LaToya Says
By Michael Y. Park
September 5, 2009

"Michael has been called home to sing with the angels, I will miss him dearly," she says.

LaToya made her comments to Access Hollywood after the music legend was finally laid to rest Thursday night in Glendale. Calif.

LaToya, 53, also asked her brother's fans to remember to keep his legacy alive through good deeds.

"We would like to thank all of Michael's loving fans for their tremendous support, and ask that in Michael's memory give of yourself to the charities he believed in, and keep the magic going!" she said.

MJ Burial After-Party -- Brought to You By A&E
Posted Sep 4th 2009 3:06PM by TMZ Staff

There were cameras shooting everything at the after-party for Michael Jackson's burial -- and we're told the whole thing could end up on A&E.

Sources tell TMZ footage from inside the party -- as well as the funeral itself -- will be used for an A&E special, plus a DVD at a later date.

Don't expect to see Joe or Katherine Jackson, Michael's three children or Elizabeth Taylor in the footage though -- we're told none of them went to the restaurant after the burial.

A few other random tidbits about the affair: Rat Pack music played all night, "Casablanca" was projected onto the walls, the brothers talked about a reunion tour -- and Janet seemed the most grief stricken of the group.

Michael Jackson's death was "God's plan" says Gladys Knight
Friday, September 04, 2009, 08:00

As a friend of the Jackson family, Gladys Knight was hit harder than most by The King of Pop's death but it was "God's plan" she says. Ahead of her farewell show at the Trent FM Arena next month SIMON WILSON spoke to the Empress of Soul.

IT is 5am in Las Vegas but Gladys Knight isn't ending her evening in the city that never sleeps with a round of press interviews. "You know what? I'm an early riser," says the 65-year-old, dubbed the Empress of Soul.

"I've been to bed but I wake up around two or three. I know that's crazy but I got this way when I first had my kids – waking up for the feeding. I just kept it going.

"I'm a morning girl. Plus, I'm an insomniac."

Though she was born in Atlanta, Georgia, Vegas has been home to Knight for more than 30 years.

And for the past four years she has been off the world touring circuit, committing to a residency at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in her adopted home city.

"It was a fantastic experience. It was two shows a night to start with, five nights a week, every week for four-and-half years. The only time I was out was when I was sick."

Did she prefer that to being on the road?

"I didn't mind it, you know, because I've been flipping and flopping this road for.... (laughs) OK people go ahead and ask me 'how old are you?"

37?

"(Laughs) Yeah, right.

"But it had been a long time so it was enjoyable. You get to know your family again, you get to watch your grandchildren grow up and I got to spend time with my husband."

But next month she'll be on the road once again bringing the same show to the UK.

"It's the same show to some degree," says the great grandmother.

"When you have an intimate setting like Vegas, you can talk a lot and you can shake hands with people. If you're in an arena it's a little bit less intimate so you have to reach them with a little more... how can I put it?... energy, maybe. And production and stuff like that.

"So that will be the difference. But I love to talk so that will be difficult."

I know you're a great-grandmother but why say goodbye on this tour? There's still performance life in you, isn't there?

"I would like to think so but we can't take things for granted. Tomorrow you're never promised. I wouldn't want to go out of this business – or even life – without saying goodbye."

She's determined it won't be the first of a few farewell tours.

"I've never appreciated in our industry where people would retire and then the next month they're back."

She doesn't rule out performing again but that will be strictly special occasions.

"Say, for instance, Elton and I are friends and if he asked me to do a benefit with him I would."

Joining her on the tour will be a number of surprise guests. Dionne Warwick, who Knight sang with on the 1985 hit That's What Friends Are For, has been confirmed to appear in Manchester (I guess that's no surprise now).

No-one has been lined up for the Nottingham date as yet but Tito Jackson will be opening all of the shows on the seven-city tour with his 14-piece band The Funk Brothers. His set will include a tribute to brother Michael.

Knight and the Jackson family have been friends since the early sixties. She introduced the Jackson 5, of which Tito was a founder member, to Motown label boss Berry Gordy.

"I watched those kids grow, from when they were really, really little kids," she says.

"And as they got older they got to be friends with my kids. So I know the family very well. Katherine is such a wonderful woman to me. I just love her to death."

Knight, a Mormon, uses an unusual phrase to describe Michael Jackson's death when I ask how she reacted to it.

"It really was sad in my heart for Michael's homegoing. But it's not our plan. That belongs to God. And as much as we'll miss him... we should be joyful for him that he's not in pain anymore.

"And he doesn't have people speculating about his life...well, you know, they still do."

Now they're speculating about his death.

"I know, you know. It's just really sad that our world, not just our country but our world has come to (view) gossip and speculation as what the news is all about rather than facts.

"The integrity has gone out of the news industry."

Alerted that my time is almost up and not wanting to end on a downer, I ask how Gladys Knight feels about the label Empress of Soul.

"Is that what they call me?" she laughs, like she's never heard it before.

"Work on it, work on it!" she adds, hysterically.

"That people would think of me that way, I love it!"

She invites me to say hello at next month's concert (they usually do) and says how much she's looking forward to it – which they always do but Knight has a very good, if bizarre, reason.

"I love shopping over there," she hollers.

"And I hate shopping!"

I've seen pictures of Debbie and she looks exactly like Paris but with blond hair. Shes just aged badly, rather then naturally being ugly like people think. I'd love to see a picture of Arnold

So I guess I was a bad person for wearing a flowered skirt to my dad's service? I've actually never been to a service where very many people wore black. shrug

This kind of stuff is what disturbs me about people and funerals. Do you think the deceased or your god gives a shit what you're wearing or if you're mourning from afar? I think it's silly that the brothers all dressed the same, as if they were appearing in a show or something. (and it seems they are after reading about the reality show...) lol

she looked out of place.. it looked like something one would wear to a wedding as a guest. and it was just ugly she could wear flowers but a better pattern for summer and a funeral. As far as the brothers it was a silent way of showing them as a unit and yes even in grief pictures would be taken what better way to honor their brother to be dressed in the best.
