now Serena what were they suppose to do? stay at home? stop living? working? being a Jackson?

i'm just happy Larry King was not invited with his old ass- they prolly woulda asked him to stay at the cemetary and take a nap....

Oh no, I don't mean they were being media whores by attending the service, just in general. They rode his coattails in life, why not after death?

I just read this on Gawker: "Even barricaded, though, the media still received its feed from the Jackson family itself, who had set up a spot light and camera to mark the occasion. Whether it was for our benefit or theirs depends on one's perspective and levels of cynicism."

I think I'm riding on the cynic side in this case, they should not have provided a news feed during what was supposed to be a PRIVATE service. They couldn't even give MJ their LAST respects without getting something in return.

Yeah that's basically the problem. They wanted the media away yet they had their own cameras allegedly. Weird. It's alright that they saluted their brother like that, lol. Just saying, with the cameras? OK.

In contrast, DJ AM's funeral was private and peaceful. Not saying MJ's wasn't peaceful but...well you know, lol

From Michael K (love him!) @ Dlisted:

"The service was supposed to begin at sunset, but the Jackson family arrived nearly 2 hours late. The Jackson family didn't allow any media inside, but they did hire their own production team and handed out pictures (below). Michael's funeral was supposed to air live on TV, but the plug was pulled right before the service started. Some say the Jackson family decided at the last minute it should be private. Others say the Jackson family plan to sell a DVD of the service at a later time. And I say Joe Jackson tripped on the power cord. Wouldn't that be ironic?

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who spoke at the service, Tweeted during the funeral. Can you take this one, because I can't with Al Sharpton anymore."

And here I thought you were joking about a DVD of the service! lol

I totally disagree with you, they should have had ONE thing that was not for the public. If they want to record it for the family, fine, but don't provide a newsfeed and then claim it's for personal reasons.

I'm hoping it ain't for nothing grand, but something private. confused I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I really am.

I don´t find the fact that they taped it with their private cameras weird.

I do. They have the recordings of the memorial, which would be the part some might want to watch/listen to again. Who, in their right mind, wants to relive the burial part?!? (But, I could see a reason for it if some close family member was unable to attend and it was done for them...)

I listened to the audio recording a few times of my father's service because I liked what the minister said. But I sure as heck don't think I'd want to watch video of it, I think bringing the visual into it too would make it worse for some reason. (Just typing as I'm thinking about it, kinda weird to imagine.)

I hope it's not true too, but I could see one of them saying at the last moment, "pull the plug, then we'll have an exclusive!". They've surprised me with some of their other behavior during this time, so it's hard for me to give them much credit now.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Sharpton Twittering from the service, that's just not right, Al! It's not about YOU, for God's sake! Can you just focus on your friend and not worry about telling the world about it for 30 fucking minutes?!?
uzi

I'm gonna put a rule in my will, no cell phones allowed at the memorial, cuz I know my son would be busy texting some floozy! hammer wink

Christian Audigier Buys Neverland Ranch

September 04, 2009
by: Bridget Dal

The Neverland Ranch has just gotten a new owner! According to reports, Christian Audigier has just purchased the estate. According to AFP, Audigier bought the $90 million ranch to serve as his company’s headquarters for Ed Hardy.

Audigier said in an interview, "I can have the house in one month now. I get the keys two weeks from today."

He’d planned on turning the house into a museum to honor Michael, but hasn’t been able to obtain authorization to do so. So now instead, Christian will open the doors of the estate on each anniversary of Michael’s death in June, and organize exhibits and shows.

Time will tell what happens now. Book deals. Tribute CD's.

"Smile" will be the new "Jackson" Anthem performed everywhere by Jermaine. Here comes the hoopla.
