me neither honestly

I hate it when people question someone's dedication to another if they don't attend a funeral service. Mourning is one of our MOST personal experiences as human beings. Everyone handles it differently and shouldn't be made to feel ashamed if they don't attend a service, especially when it's teeming in publicity with minute details, like 'oh, look, she didn't cry, the bitch is only here for attention', etc..

Right. This funeral was probably different from different funerals she attended. The last big public funeral where she was mentioned with a lot of publicity was Florence Ballard's funeral and we saw how that went... confused Because if there were pictures around Diana kissing Blanket, MJ fans would be calling the riot act just like Supremes fans did on Diana for kissing Lisa at Flo's funeral.

The young lady in the floral brunch dress no no no!

So I guess I was a bad person for wearing a flowered skirt to my dad's service? I've actually never been to a service where very many people wore black. shrug

This kind of stuff is what disturbs me about people and funerals. Do you think the deceased or your god gives a shit what you're wearing or if you're mourning from afar? I think it's silly that the brothers all dressed the same, as if they were appearing in a show or something. (and it seems they are after reading about the reality show...) lol

And bitch-ass writers would be quoting "why was she fainting like that? She's just putting on a show thinking she's at Vegas, stupid bitch". That's how they reported Diane's actions at the Ballard funeral, lol

Yeah, I don't think a low-cut halter dress, an upper arm bracelet and flashing the blingy watch on the outside of black satin gloves, is exactly in the rule book either. lol

I think the brothers were respectfull paying hommage to their brother- it's like a wedding- if you are part of the wedding party- you look like it

they were pall bearers- they were dressed respectfully-handsome

Timmy- you're just having a tantrum right now...cut it out mad

Oh no, I don't mean they were being media whores by attending the service, just in general. They rode his coattails in life, why not after death?

I just read this on Gawker: "Even barricaded, though, the media still received its feed from the Jackson family itself, who had set up a spot light and camera to mark the occasion. Whether it was for our benefit or theirs depends on one's perspective and levels of cynicism."

I think I'm riding on the cynic side in this case, they should not have provided a news feed during what was supposed to be a PRIVATE service. They couldn't even give MJ their LAST respects without getting something in return.
