Original vs Cover

Inspired by Mariah's cover of Foreigner's old hit I ask you:
Original or cover? Which version do you prefer and why? You're all welcome to add other "duels". I'll start with....

Lionel and Diana

vs
Luther and Mariah

Stevie Wonder

vs
John Legend

The Temptations

vs
Rick Astley

Dolly Parton

vs
Whitney Houston

"Endless Love" (the original)
"Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" (original)
"Ain't Too Proud to Beg" (original)
"I'll Always Love You" (the original)

"Endless Love" - The original.
"Don't You Worry" - 'Bout a thing", The original.
"Ain't Too Proud To Beg" - The original.
"I'll Always Love You" - Dolly. ( If you are gonna break up with me, I don't need any of your vocal acrobatics....Just tell me).

I prefer the original version in every case. Whitney's cover of Dolly's song always got on my nerves for some reason.

razz Hey, John did a cover of the song, hence he's part of this thread. Besides, I really think he did a good job. Well, I think all of the covers posted are pretty good.
Otherwise I too prefer the originals except Endless Love. I adore Luther and for whatever reason I can't stand Diana Ross (sorry people lol). With I Will Always Love You it's a tie because those two are so different.

Don't forget to discuss and explain your choices and add your own videos.
