I've enjoyed the more conceptual art from her previous projects, but I'm kinda liking this, too. It's just... organic, somewhat like the supposed vibe of her new music.

very simple. looks like a jazz album. i can see a beat-up vinyl version of it sitting in the window of an old used wrecka stow.

If I had to guess, my thinking is we should simply see Meshell -- up close, unadorned, no glamour or lofty thinking in the art. And the "devil's halo" is possibly an equally naked statement by Meshell about her own personality.

old town school of folk music in chicago is a SWEET venue. anyone in that area who even KINDA likes meshell should go. great sound, great atmosphere, great place all around.
