I dont consider myself a real fan of their music (I only own their Best Of-album) but i surely recognize Shanes gifts as a singer and songwriter.

Compared to a lyric like 'Rainy Night in Soho' Princes lyrics since 1987 are like childsplay.

Rainy Night in Soho was the song I danced my first dance to at my wedding.

In fact, the only competition to it was 'Adore'. I prefer the lyrics to 'Adore', but 'Rainy Night...' was a favourite for both of us, so it won out.

My friend is touring with Shane, and despite the fact he's completely immersed in alcohol and recreational drugs, he's still lucid and passionate about music.

Love the Pogues!

I'm glad Shane fixed his teeth, but he should have bleached them as well. They're still too yellow.

I'm acutally surprised he fixed them, I imagined they'd be the last thing on his mind.

He's still got that wheezing laugh though.....lol

Love The Pogues. My favorite album is probably Rum Sodomy n The Lash. Though I have to say that Fairytale of New York is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Best Christmas song ever and RIP Kirsty McColl. I loved the outcry when they censored the 'cheap lousy faggot' line. Good sense won out in the end! smile

I played with him in The Popes (band he put together after being kicked out of The Pogues) for a few years. It was interesting to say the least!
