Michael reached a point in his addiction where he could no longer think clearly or make rational decisions when it came to appropriate and inappropriate usage of these pharmaceuticals. Couple that with his inability to sleep, another inhibitor of rational thinking, and you have a man who was at the mercy of his supposedly sane, lucid, experienced and professional doctor. With that said...fuck that nucca, he killed MJ and he needs to pay for it!!!

I often wonder what would have happened if a successful intervention was done by his family. This guy I knew had gotten so bad that his mom had him Baker-acted. He was court ordered to rehab while she took care of his affairs...that's the only reason he's alive and clean today. Now with Mike the glitch was his contract with Sony/ATV and the morality clause rumored to be part of that contract. With Mike out of commission either mentally, physically or otherwise his fortune could have been at risk. This was discussed on the Joe Madison show this morning. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Before you all go on a lynch mob after this doctor, remember that it was Michael who chose him to be his personal physician in the first place, and that he was getting paid by AEG to make sure that he was ready for this concert tour. Now as a physician he should have known better than to administer a whole cocktail of drugs during such a short period of time, but if Michael had been awake for more than 24 hours and was screaming for him to administer this Propofol or else he was fired, he probably would have been sued by AEG for not doing his duties (although it would have been the correct action in the first place). What's tragic is that because a beloved pop icon is dead, there's intense public pressure to pin the blame on someone for his death, yet it was Michael Jackson himself who was on this path of destruction. It's well known that he had been an addict since at least 1993, and he'd been shopping around for drugs and doctors since 2002. how hard would it have been to say no? to say sorry MJ but if I did this right now it could kill you? to have correct monitoring if you are doing to do something so asininely foolish? dude hadn't even gotten paid yet, so he killed the golden goose.... dumbass of the century award goes to you are the weakest link. buh-bye, now. on CNN they were discussing that AEG may have prevent Murray from taking him to a clinic to withdraw from Diprivan to prevent bad press. It's called saying 'no'. If he's the doctor he said he is, he would of known what he was doing.

That dude was a drug dealer. Real doctors would've told him this was dangerous. Thank you. Drug dealers push drugs they don't talk about your health concerns or dangers of drug use.

Lord Jesus, his lawyer's a dingbat:
Lawyer: Police twisted Jackson doc's words (AP) – 2 hours ago LOS ANGELES — A lawyer for Michael Jackson's personal doctor says police have twisted his client's account of the singer's last hours. Dr. Conrad Murray never told detectives he left Jackson and returned to find he had stopped breathing at 11 a.m. on June 25, attorney Edward Chernoff said in a statement late Monday. That was one of the assertions in court papers, unsealed Monday, that are part of the investigation into how Jackson died. Chernoff called much of what's in the affidavit, which Los Angeles Police filed to search Murray's Texas clinic last month, "police theory." The Los Angeles Coroner's office has ruled Jackson's death a homicide caused by a mix of drugs meant to treat insomnia, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

What is most appalling to me is that this "doctor" left him alone....and that no one thought to have any basic monitoring devices as they commenced with their fuckery. Or any reversal drugs or emergency drugs.
What is truly sad is that MJ could have at least been taken straight to a hospital instead of this "doctor" trying to cover up what they had been doing. He really didn't have to die...

Once MJ stopped breathing it was a done deal. The brain can only live a few minutes without oxygen. Even if an ambulance had arrived in 10 minutes, MJ would have had brain damage. Under the care of that doctor, he was fucked.

I've got insomnia and I barely want to touch my Ambien. I cannot imagine having someone inject me with a damn anesthestic. Can you imagine? It's like just when you think you have heard the stupidest shit ever, there somebody go doing something even stupider
MJ should have thought about his kids....but hopefully he is at some peace that he obviously couldn't find in life. He sleeping now...

But what's more compelling 2 me was that this doc didn't have the common sense 2 at least form a team of nurses, a cardiologist, and an anethesiologist, plus have necessary equipment (ie a breathing tube) to offset the side-effects of these dangerous meds. Granted, MJ may have had prescription drug abuse issues. But this doc was paid a million bucks to provide the proper care in keeping MJ alive. [Edited 8/25/09 9:50am]

I really believe MJ suffered from severe sleep deprivation which can totally fuck up your health. I mean this is also used as a form of torture by some military factions. Why couldn't MJ just be hospitalized and treated for the sleep deprivation in conjunction with weaning him off the prescription meds? This doctor was not equipped to deal with MJ's illness/addiction. He was in way over his head and the fact that he would rather continue collecting 150K a month versus ensuring his patient's sobriety (or whatever you call getting clean) just shows that he didn't give a fuck. I think Conrad just pumped MJ up with drugs to keep him quiet so he could go do whatever...like make a phone call.
