U2 - UK Tour

I was fortunate enough to catch U2 at Sheffield on Thursday and at Cardiff on Saturday:

Thursday setlist (Sheffield)

Breathe
No Line on the Horizon
Get On Your Boots
Magnificent
Beautiful Day
Elevation
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of (Acoustic)
Unknown Caller
The Unforgettable Fire
City Of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Remix)
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
MLK
Walk On
Where The Streets Have No Name
One
Mysterious Ways
Ultraviolet
With Or Without You
Moment of Surrender

Saturday at Cardiff we got the same except:

No Elevation - instead Mysterious Ways took its slot and Bad was played later on!
Stuck In A Moment was replaced by an acoustic Stay (Faraway So Close!)

cool

Starting with 4 songs from the new album is a little risky, and sure it took a while for the show to really get going to its full strength, but the massive "claw" stage and the screen made for a great spectacle and as the show built up it just got better and better.
Sunday Bloody Sunday was a highlight for me, as was Bad on the second night, and I am pleased to report that the sound was very good, with Edge's guitar tones really coming through clearly at Sheffield in particular.
Great crowd in Wales too, did the band proud.
I didn't stop dancing throughout the whole of Saturday's show and found it surprisingly moving too.

Been following this band for over 20 years now, through artistic highs and lows, but right now they are definitely on a high.

VERY happy I spent the oodles of money on these two shows!

saw them in amsterdam last month! Excellent show. Bono was really good by voice that night. And the unforgettable fire!!! Wow
I think the new songs work really good in their live versions!

Sounds like a great show.

Unforgettable Fire Tour was amazing. My first show. I believe that was more than 20 years ago. And the band just gets better. Although I loved them back then when they were not as well known, playing smaller venues.
