It is a Warner release after all, Live Nation made a deal with them. It's up to anyone's guess if they decide to continue doing the same with Madonna's upcoming albums.

Madonna looked like her young self at a Paper dinner honoring Pedro Almodovar and Penelope Cruz. Now that she's back in NYC, she is out and about. I heard, but can't confirm, she and Lola were at Kylie's show last night and that she smiled at Kylie's "Vogue" hat tip.

Yeah,"Heartbeat" was a highlight of that tour.I love the choreography.

"I wish there was a video for that song"

Me too! lol I actually came up with a funny idea/concept for the video: Madonna is on a boring date with an old, grouchy boyfriend who would rather go home and watch TV on a Saturday night. They drive pass a nightclub and Madonna insists that they go inside.Pharrell is the DJ.Once inside, she sees alot of other ladies with the same problem: They wanna dance and have fun while their boring boyfriends want to go home. So,when it gets to the chorus,Madonna drags her man to the floor and does the same choreography we see in the live clip posted above, but she somehow "flips him over"...he is stunned as she stands over him, singing "which makes me feel like the only one...that the light shines on!".This scene is repeated during each chorus. Each time,a few of the other girls do the exact same choreography with their man.During the final chorus,we see a FAT woman do this same routine...lol...it's hilarious as she flips her man over, stands over him,and declares "it makes me feel like the only one".

At the end of the video,we see all these men on the floor, looking all damaged and in pain, while the ladies continue dancing.Pharrell joins them.

Highlights from the Rolling Stone interview
www.celebzweb.com has published some of the highlights from Madonna's new interview with Rolling Stone magazine that is out in US stores now:

On her biggest hits: '
I've never been a good judge of what things are going to be huge or not. The songs that I think are the most retarded songs I've written, like 'Cherish' and 'Sorry', a pretty big hit off my last album, end up being the biggest hits. 'Into the Groove' is another song I feel retarded singing, but everybody seems to like it.'

On Lady GaGa:
'I see myself in Lady Gaga. When I saw her, she didnt have a lot of money for her production. She's got holes in her fishnets, and there's mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that IT Factor. It's nice to see that at a raw stage.'

On who's turned her down:
'I wanted to work with Eminem. I don't think he wanted to work with me. Maybe he's shy.'

On her 80's hairstyles & looks:
'It's ok. It was the 80's. It was a bad haristyle era. Let's face it.'

On growing up:
'I was a geek in high school. I didn't really have a drink until my first divorce.'

The biggest challenge of her career?:
'Working on Evita. It's a whole different singing sensibility. I had to seriously work with a vocal coach.'

On the first 3 concerts she saw:
'My first show was David Bowie. My second show was Elton John. And my third was Bob Marley! Not bad, right?'

She really has to stop saying "retartded". She's on a higher plane (sp?) than everyone else, not to mention she is how old. Other than that, really want to hear about her looking back on her hit songs. Could she say something about the songs that didn't make the cut?

What would be the point? If she calls songs that made the tracklist "retarded", what could she say about the songs that didn't? Other than more retarded and "wasn't a big hit" or "not enough space on a CD", I doubt she had anything more to say. Madonna does not like creating compilations and re-evaluate her old work.

The interview is very interesting and revealing, she even kinda confirms "Devil..." is about the divorce.

It's quiet as it is tonight
You almost think you were safe
Your eyes are full of surprises
As they cannot predict my fate

Waiting underneath the stars
There's something you should know
The angels they surround my heart
Telling me to let you go

I barely couldn't, I barely couldn't recognize
but I've forgotten with who am I to criticize
Somehow I picked the way that you won't even realize
Going through your own disguise

* It's like over and over
You pushing me right down to the floor
I should just walk away
Over and over
I keep on coming backfor more
I play into your fantasy
Now that's it over you can lie to me
Right through your smile
I see behind your eyes
Now it's over
No more intoxicating my mind

** Even the devil wouldn't recognize you
I do
Even the devil wouldn't recognize you
I do
Even the devil wouldn't recognize you
I do
Even the devil wouldn't recognize you
I do, I do, I do

You almost fooled yourself this time
That all the saints be graced
You hide your sadness behind your smile and
You keep your lost heart graced
The steps that edge on the ledge
It's much higher than it seems
I've been on that ledge before
You can't hide yourself from me

I barely couldn't, I barely couldn't recognize
I still play right into who am I to criticize
Somehow I picked the way that you won't even realize
Going through your own disguise

* Repeat

** repeat
Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh !Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!

I like when you list stuff like that! I like the idea of "Revolver" as a single because it really sounds like a hit! Then again, I thought same about "Celebration"! It needs a slight push. Also, it seems like a strange single choice with the single disc being available but without the song. Just strange... I've been listening to the old gal a lot lately. Just broke out "Erotica" for the long drive to and from work.

"Revolver" is extremely radio-friendly and commercial. It could be a hit *IF* they actually promote it aggressively but somehow I don't think they will. But at least we'll be getting some fresh new remixes of that song.

I'm more excited about the S&S DVD and the 4-LP vinyl set.

It's funny...I predicted that 2010 would be a quiet year for Madonna, but it now appears that she is lining up several projects. She's doing another fashion campaign for D&G,directing a movie, and will begin work on a new album. So much for "taking a break"...lol

It's interesting that 'Hard Candy' is such a personal album. On the surface,it appears to be a fun, dance album but there are several 'serious' songs that are obviously about her troubled relationship with Guy."Miles Away","Incredible","She's Not Me" and "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" all seem to be very personal.

Considering everything that she has gone through since then (the divorce from Guy,adopting a new daughter, starting a new relationship with Jesus, getting caught up in the A-Rod divorce scandal, and leaving Warners),she certainly has alot of stuff to write about on the next album, lol.

The fantastic Rolling Stone interview continues!

http://www.rollingstone.c..._own_words

Some interesting parts:

You and Michael were born in the same month, August of 1958. What was it like to witness a kid your age do what he did?
I was madly in love with him, totally smitten. He was mind-bogglingly talented. The songs he sang were not childlike at all.

When did you first meet him?
I met him in the early Eighties, when I first started working with my manager, Freddy DeMann, who at the time was managing Michael Jackson. I saw him play at Madison Square Garden, and I was blown away. He was flawless. There was a party at the Helmsley Palace Hotel. He was very shy, but it was a thrill for me.

Were you jealous of him?
In a good way. I'd wished I'd written "Billie Jean" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'." What song didn't I love?

Some of your best songs — "Live to Tell," "Like a Prayer," "Cherish" — are collaborations with songwriter/producer Patrick Leonard. Why has that relationship been so successful?
We're both from the Midwest, and deep down at our core, we're both geeks. He's melancholic, and he is a classically trained musician with an incredible sense of melody. We just hit it off from the start. We always come up with something interesting. We usually don't write frivolous songs, although we've done that, too. There's something magical about our writing.

From a lyrical perspective, what are your favorite lines that you've written over the years?
I like the words to songs that aren't very popular. "Miles Away" and "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You." They're more personal and less accessible. I love the lyrics to "Like It or Not." [Sings] "I'll be the garden, you be the snake, all of my fruit is yours to take, better the devil that you know, your love will surely grow." And I love "Paradise (Not For Me)." [Sings] "I can't remember when I was young, I can't explain if it was wrong."

How important are hit songs to you?
Well... It's important, I'm not going to lie. I want my music to be accessible and reach people all around the world.

Who turns you on to music?
I listen to music all the time. I have a lot of friends who are DJs, I get stuff from A&R people, my managers. Or I'll go to a nightclub or listen to the radio. People always bring music to workouts, and I look on iTunes every Tuesday. One of my drivers in New York DJs part-time, and another has incredible taste in music. They're always playing stuff for me. I don't live my life in a bubble.

At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you summed up your speech by saying, "It all comes down to the music." Do you think about your legacy, or 100 years from now, how you'll be remembered?
Not necessarily. But when I do my shows and see how music transports people, what I'm aware of more than anything when I see people crying, or ecstatic, is how music affects people, and the power it has, over every other art form. I'm so moved and transported by other peoples music — I'm a human being like everyone else. We must all share that same connection, so I'm privileged and blessed to be a channel for music. At the end of the day, are they going to think about how I dove for my shoe at the VMAs or that I was naked in the newspapers, or are they going to remember "Live To Tell"? I think that at the end of the day, people remember authenticity. They remember what's true, and the rest falls by the wayside. They'll remember what comes from someone's heart.

Madonna to lay school's foundation stone in Malawi
Pop star Madonna will visit Malawi on Sunday to lay the foundation stone of a multi-million dollar girls' school she is building, her charity Raising Malawi told Reuters.
The singer, who has adopted two children from the southern African country, is due to arrive on Sunday and attend a brick-laying ceremony in Lilongwe on Monday. The school is expected to cost about $15 million.
'She plans to meet the President Bingu wa Mutharika and together lay a foundation stone for her multi-million dollar girls school,' a staffer at the charity, who declined to be named, said on Thursday.

'Glee' Exclusive: Madonna is on board!
Are you sitting down, Gleeks? Well you might want to, because we have some exclusive Glee news that’s positively Madge-ical. EW has learned that Madonna has given Glee the rights to her catalog and that an all-Madonna-music episode is in the works for early next year.
The hit series has been building an audience and filling the iTunes charts with its cover songs, and Madonna’s involvement is a testament to how big the show is getting. Also, an amazing Glee cover of a classic Madonna track has the potential to be even bigger than the show’s blockbuster take on 'Don’t Stop Believin’.' Quinn totally has to do 'Papa Don’t Preach.' And I can completely see Rachel tackling 'Material Girl.'
