That is waaay harsh. Im not saying i disagree with alot of it, but the author just comes across as bitter and snarky for the most part. Most of what she says is right, but why does it need addressing in such a snide and black & white manner.

That was extremely cold....but true. It is definitely time for Mariah to look at her career and realize that she isn't a 20-something anymore. Not to mention that the average Mariah fan is in their late 20-s and not caring to see her prance around half-naked.

Not a fan, but I love seeing her prance around half-naked.

The article may be true, but Mariah is laughing all the way to the bakk

The the hell is wrong with people? These are singers and entertainers. Why do folks freak out over somebody else's personal life or career, cry when the die, or get actually pissed off if they release a dud? Christ. lol

That was pretty low and uncalled for.

I'm not a Mariah fan but people who spend the time writing 'open letters' need to rent a life.

I mean it could have been more constructively. If people remember the liner notes inside "The Gold Experience" that was something done constructive. This article has almost nothing to do with music, i mean divorce her husband? what the fuck does that have to do with music? I mean its like when Jim Farber reviews a Bon Jovi album and talks about John's hair the whole review. Second MARIAH is not heavy, im tired of hearing this shit, the girl is 5'9+ those f'in heels that she always wears, i mean she isnt 19 anymore she is 39, big difference. The only things about music i can agree with, but she isnt gonna change because she is set on breaking the Beatles record, she is still set on selling, she has always been more into hip hop than ballads, she was just playing the game early on.

One thing correct is the "retrain" your voice, THAT IS DEAD ON and i have been saying it for a decade now, she has not adjusted her songs to where her voice is now.....TIP call up Elton John and ask him how to do it.

And for that other part...I have no problem with her looking like this

I don't have a problem with her looking like that either. It's funny how some press think they know what a celebrity should personally do. Remind me of how they were always saying how MJ should do this or that personal wise to "win the public back". This is definitely similar to this.

OUCH! That was harsh!

I like Mariah and I respect her talent, but I don't really like the music she releases these days. It's beneath her.She should forget about shit hop and start working with real songwriters and musicians again...start singing REAL SONGS again, instead of all this beat-driven crap."Touch My Body" was a low point for her.An artist with her talent should not be singing garbage like that.

I could understand your desperation. Anybody who titles themselves "the best selling female artist in history" and can't fill a 2,500 seat arena in Las Vegas must feel defeated. But don't worry: Perhaps these people just saw your insulting performance of I'll Be There at Michael Jackson's funeral, are staying away and just need to be reminded of the gifts you used to have.

It's one thing to criticize Mariah over her music, especially her most recent music. It's a little off topic to criticize her acting skills and claim she starred in the worst movie ever made; this blogger apparently hasn't seen Freddy Got Fingered, Battlefield Earth, Plan 9 From Outer Space, or Armageddeon. But it's something else entirely to go after her personal life. Has it ever occurred to her that she may actually be head over heels in love with Nick Cannon? If she was purely going after publicity, she could have chosen someone like George Clooney, Clive Owen, or some other Hollywood leading man. I don't see how marrying Nick Cannon, whose entertainment accomplishments pale in comparison to hers, would benefit her in publicity. This smacks of being really cynical, and it makes me wonder more about the person suggesting Mariah divorce Nick, as he/she seems to be really bitter in her own life.

Yeah! Tell me about it. I'm not even that much of a Mariah fan (I only own a couple of CDs). I can deal with the constructive criticism of her musical direction. That's fine, every1 is entitled to his/her own opinion. But to attack her personal life in regards to her marriage 2 Nick is below the belt. Even in the wake of MJ's death, certain people within the press still cannot comprehend when enough is enough. The woman should have the common decency 2 respect someone's private life. My twocents
