Seriously though, Debarge's force was imo their ballads from which some are still favorite classics of many listeners and artists,
and though Shalamar has some excellent slowjams as well, their grooves were their schtick.

Its a draw. I loved them both growing up as a little kid. I just recently brought both of their Best of's... and I fell in love with them both again. Again, it's a draw.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

this is almost too easy-Debarge, by a mile! Shalamar was ok, at best, IMO. Debarge ruled R & B in the 80's.

Shalamar by far. DeBarge was mostly ballads.

Shalamar by far imo. I'm not too sure about the claim DeBarge had
more hits. Shalamar has a hell of a track record too and i actually
think Shalamar lasted longer.

Yeah compliments of whom? lol
Hell it's about 50 of them debarges so it's not surprising.
Kristinia Debarge may get one next week. Hers would be of
the crash and burn variety however. biggrin
