dont want to seem like im trying to follow you around just to knock the hustle but you really should start thinking more before making threads like this.
its great that you like prince but there isnt a need to make a thread about every thought that comes up about him. there are many prince soundalikes out there and ready for the world's early stuff is some of the most known so its a bit pointless to say "Hey Everyone guess what?!" to stay on topic the song doesnt really sound like do me baby at all aside from that little pop on the bass every few bars. (the first album they put is more prince influenced, keep in mind the first two albums they released went platinum and gold respectively. so its not like this group is unheardof) HOlla You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

I have to agree, as much as I like the song, "Let me love you down." I have never felt any kind of similarity with Prince's, "Do Me Baby," which is a damn hard act to follow. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I love seeing these 25 year-old controversies pop-up from the younger fans! Reminds me of being 14 and pissed off cause my dad said he "really likes that "new Prince song 'Oh Shiela'"
Yeah there were more than a few imitators back in the day. "Oh Sheila" was the jam though. "What kind of fuck ending is that?"

Nah.
I'm a fan of RFTW's first two albums but there was never any depth or mystery to their music like Prince. For a brief time they tried to have a similar sound. I have their first 3 CD's on my comp/ipod and their music brings good high school memories but they never had the talent to evolve into more than a few hit wonders.
