I like it, but it's not funky. What are you smoking?!
I especially love the "how can we preech, when all we make this world to be, is a living hell torturing our minds..." - his voice is excellent there.

"Shout" is one of my favorite Michael Jackson records, however I wouldn't call it "funky". One of his funkiest records would be something like "Get On The Floor" or "Sunset Driver"

No. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

It is a good song...but it's more pop than funky Said songs above as well as PYT or Shake your Body Down To The Ground.. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I think "Money", is more funky... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Superfly Sister and Get On The Floor would like to speak to you..... "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I never would have thought of funky, but that song is one of his best and soooo inspirational lyrically.

I don't know what genre that is but it's not funky.I'd say "you rock my world is more funky" but it's r&b. I think one of his funky tunes was "You're just another part of me" "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

Go back to Off the Wall and parts of Thriller for the "funky stuff". "Shout" is a dance-rock song.

It's an outtake from Invincible but the song could be on the album's European or Japanese editions, who knows?

I love the song. I remember thinking my CD player has just gotten broken when I first played it. But it´s an amazing song. One of my MJ favourites, too. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

It's a dope song. I always felt it was left off of "Invincible" because the production is similar to "2000 Watts" and both tracks were produced by Teddy Riley. |

Nah, not even close.
Get On The Floor, Sunset Driver, Walk Right Now...these would be his Funkiest cuts, IMHO.

Well said and "The Things I Do For You" and "Walk Right Now" are calling, even though they are songs by The Jacksons. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

I wouldn't say it's the funkiest, but of some of the lyrics he sang, you can't figure out what he's saying.

It grooves. No doubt about that.

I would say Streetwalker and Super Fly Sister are some of his funkiest songs.

I don't really care for it. It's very throw-away. When I think about the outtakes that have been released and leaked since, there's really no excuse for what ended up coming out at the time.

It sounds like a prototype for Blackstreet's song "Wizzy Wow" from the Level II album mixed with Guy's "Do It" from the Guy III album.
I guess Teddy liked the elements and reused them.
