I guess that's what you call a vocal hiccup.

The first time he did it was on the Get It Together album. Motown thought MJ was "losing it" with the "dahs" so he cut it out until the Destiny album, lol.

This is real cool? Is this an MJ´s extended original version or someone´s remix?

lol

When was the first time he did the "hoo" or "hee hee's"? Was it on "Blame It On The Boogie?" I may be a Mjologist but that part of my knowledge is not programmed.

And what track is the one where di did "dah!" Because Get It Together is my favorite J5 album. It was the most cohesive and held together in my opinion.

He did the "hoo"/"hee-hee" in spots starting with, I believe, the Goin Places album but really with Destiny and he did "dah!" in "It's Too Late to Change the Time". Not the grunting "DAH!" but a "dah!" nonetheless. lol

Methinks Imago really should know better...but if you want act like the honorary white person on this thread today...I say...only white folk would say something pathetic like that...shall we school you on James Brown also?

If you don't understand black reality in it's many forms...listen up, we don't care, bye.

It's one of Bruce Sweiden's mixes.

There are five or six of these which are similar to the mixes done for the other dance tracks from Bad which had single releases.

There is a dodgy fake "accetate" CD of them, which has a nasty fan made cover which floats around quite often in collectorland. But the mixes themselves are seemingly genuine, although they were never mastered or had final cuts.

the (rumored) story is that originally the mixes were done as all of the others (Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Another Part Of Me & Smooth Criminal) and were earmarked for the single release. By the time the single eventually came out (1989) the label thought other tracks would help the single instead of more mixes.
