Let's talk DMX! Am I the only who wishes he'd blown up a few years earlier? I think he should have done a full on Horror-Core album ala Gravediggaz. Unreleased freestyles (often re-interpretted into weaker songs on his later albums) are downright scary. I can't imagine 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z... etc beating him in a battle. He doesn't get enough credit for his awesome flows, yeah the growling and "WHAT!"'s got a bit repetitive and his attempt at Party anthems can't compare to Pac or Bigger but when it comes to passionate delivery and interesting, energetic flows he's hard to top.
I wish he wasn't so closely associated with Swizz Beatz, even though they've made a few hits I feel Swizz's electro-club brand of Hip-Hop didn't quite fit X as well as say a Jay-Z type. Honestly can you think of collabo he's done where he was outshone by another MC? All his albums I personally feel suffered from average production, Irv Gotti and Swizz aint no master composers, X was the strength behind his huge sales, not hot producers. Fave Songs: Why We Die (Busta Rhymes) It's Murda (Ja Rule) Homeboyz (2pac's Rap Phenomenom Mixtape) 24 HRS to Live (Ma$e) Where's the Hood At? X Gon Give it to Ya Some X Shit Stop Being Greedy Niggaz Done Started Something (I wish this was a solo song, I only ever listen to his verse) East Coast Freestyle Ghetto Life Freestyle Damien Who We Be (The RMX with Pac's Baby Don't Cry Chorus) Shot Down What is the deal with these two new albums? They keep getting pushed back.

I am a fan of DMX.He is definitely ahead of his time, it is just a sad shame that he has allowed drugs to overtake his rap career. I wish he would get his crap together, because he has the potential for being a great star.

DMX was talented and that's my cousin's favorite rapper, but yeah it's sad what's happened to him. I hope he gets his mind right.

With all due respect to his fans, I wouldn't miss DMX if he never recorded another track.

I used to be really into him, too. Have all of his CDs. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I remember when Ja Rule called him "Crack Man X" after X started dissing him. It was funny. I always thought X was a hater when it came to Ja.

I only got this to say: "C IS FOR COOKIE!"

As far as his wife goes, last I heard he'd left her for a girl in her early 20's... I felt sorry for her.
I don't know much about drug problems and certainly didn't know they were still a issue. Him pretended to be a federal agent was funny for the "WTF were you thinking?" aspect. The funniest thing anyone ever said bout Ja was Busta in the Murder Inc Diss over the Hail Mary track. "Can't help but think about the game and WHAT WOULD IT BE WITHOUT YOUuUuUuU" In Ja's cookie monster voice. Personally I don't mind Ja, not a huge fan of his party songs but "Daddy's Little Baby", both "Race Against Time"'s, "Fuck You", "Last of the Mohicans" and "Only Begotten Son" are good tracks. If he's a Pac imitator then so is 3/4 of the rap AND R&B cats that have come out since '97. That Blood in My Eye album was pathetic though, "The Wrap" and the new version of "It's Murda" were the only tracks I liked and his replies to 50's disses were weak. [Edited 9/18/09 19:11pm]

crack is wack but cocaine is a hell of a drug...
That woman of his is a ROCK,
unfortunately she's a CRACK ROCK! look at all the folk that have been laid low by the almighty cocaina Whitney Houston Lindsay Lohan River Phoenix Baatin Bobby Brown D'Angelo Jim Morrison Rick James I can't even go into all the folk that have been laid low by the blow And then you have the weedies: Redman Method Man Snoop And then you get your highfaluting druggings with Oxy Codone, Ambien, whatever the hell that shit Anna Nicole was on, and MJ taking it to the next level-propofol anesthesia. Well anyway I like DMX with Party Up and Come back In One Piece and that's pretty much enough for me. He had the skills to do the damn thing but oh well.

There was a supposedly super group in the works with the three hottest rappers under Def Jam circa 1999. Jay-Z from Roc-a-Fella, Ja Rule from Murder, Inc. and DMX from Ruff Ryders. PRINCE: Always and Forever

This is quite well known, they would have been called Murda Inc. and Irv Gotti would have overseen the album. From what I've heard Jay was the one to pull the plug but X started dissing Ja around this time too. I think the first "Irv Gotti Presents" album was originally gonna be that project. I think it would have been great.

Had DMX sold out the dark side of Freemasonry by allowing Jay-Z to lead him, DMX would still be in the mainstream. If I say nothing else, DMX did right by not playing along.

But in later years some white and black masons have made efforts in doing business & social gatherings with each other (except for those in Mississippi, Alabama, & Georgia). Many masons are good people. But a select few are elitists and have absolute no remorse about working directly with The Power That Be to get ahead in life.
