Funny, it sounds very european musically. I dont have any of their Spanish albums, just 3 of their english ones.

"Hold me" is as good as most New Edition songs from around then...admit it, its not half bad. lol

No idea, but you can blame them for the reassurance of the boyband in the US and whereever else Menudo were big (South America?).

Menudo means "spare change" in Spanish.

Yeah, well the group Menudo is a product of Puerto Rico, and when they created the group they weren't thinking of 'tripe' (...or "pansa" as it's called in Puerto Rico, or "mondongo" as it's called in Honduras).

lol

I have a funny story (non-Menudo but appropriate nonetheless);

...my wife and I went to Cancun on our honeymoon. One day I bought a Snapple and asked the lady (in Spanish) for a straw. Thinking that it was the correct term, I asked her for a "sorbeto" which is what my (Puerto Rican) wife calls it. When she didn't understand me, I asked for a "pajilla" which is what my Honduran family raised me to call it. When she STILL didn't understand what I wanted, I asked for a "STRAW" in perfect English.
"Oh-!" she said to me with a smile, "Tu quieres un POPOTE."

I thought you might like them. I still listen to their albums (the few I own) occasionally. "you got potential" is a fun track for example.
