lowkey said: i agree the title is misleading saying she makes history then listing at least 3 other artists thats still ahead of her (not to mention the 6 other artists thats also ahead of her), but like i said maybe they are just trying to hype her up. making the top 100 is not all that impressive when you look at it,its like somebody can have 50 top 100 singles but none ever reaching over #80, i mean how impressive is that? where does whitney rank among the top 10 hits list?
Historically, Whitney, like Mariah, has more than one song that remained at number one for a large amount of time which very few artists have been able to do. I can't remember exactly how long, but 'I Will Always Love You' and 'One Sweet Day' (which I think has the crown for longest single at number one to this day) were not able to be pushed off the number 1 spot for well over 2 months...that's crazy to think that one song can remain at number 1 for that long. [Edited 8/17/09 13:23pm] Whitney's I Will Always Love You spent 14 weeks #1 on the H100 Mariah & Boyz II Men still hold the all time record with 16 weeks at #1 with One Sweet Day Currently The Black Eyed Peas have been at #1 for 19 consecutive weeks with 2 songs , Boom Boom Pow (12 weeks) I Gotta Feeling ( 7 weeks and counting)

Not true. Whitney (like Madonna) has just 1 song to remain at No.1 more than a month. And that's I Will Always Love You. From her other 10 No,1s the Greatest Love Of All stayed to No.1 the longest and that's three weeks. On the other hand Mariah has four such songs (One Sweet Day-16 weeks, We Belong Together-14 weeks, Fantasy & Dreamlover-8 weeks each) and Janet has two (That's The Way Love Goes-8 weeks and All For You-7 weeks)

I love it. Ironically, it is Whitney Houston giving the charts a breath of fresh uptempo air. (Okay, the air was recirculated from 1976, but who cares )

I must admit her album is pretty good.... Her voice is lackluster and she's not showing any vocal range as strong as she was before. The tracks are carrying this album to me... The message you are about to hear are not meant for transmission. Should ONLY be accessed in the privacy of your mind. Words are so intense so if you dare to listen.Take off your clothes and meet me between the lines.

She's either laughing at the album cover for the same reason that many here on the .org laughed at it...the expression on Whitney's face. or, it could be that '50% off with donation to the Bobby Christina Scholarship fund'...isn't that the name of Whitney's daughter?
