Narada Michael Walden - "River Of My Heart", "Let Me Be Your Angel", "Riding The Tiger" etc...

...

One of the most interesting things about Narada is the way he was able to jump back and forth through different musical styles with his playing, production, and performances over the years: from Pop, Funk and Ballads to Rock and Jazz Fusion...

River Of My Heart

Narada - Piano, Drums, Vocal

with Mica Paris - "Never Felt Like This Before" (1993)

with Stacy Lattisaw - "Let Me Be Your Angel"

With Sergei and Alexi Bolshoy, on Hendrix's "Little Wing"

With Phyllis Hyman - "Riding The Tiger"

Narada, with Brotherhood Band - "The Sun Is Dancing, Part1"

with Angela Bofill - "Tropical Love"

with Carlos Santana - "Song For Devadip"

with Members of Weather Report - "Black Market"

With Aretha Franklin - "Freeway Of Love"

With Jeff Beck - "Led Boots"

...but what's your honest opinion about "Ridin' The Tiger"? lol

I read a book about Phyllis Hyman ("Strength of A Woman") and she absolutely hated this song, lol. At one show, she took requests and when someone yelled "Ridin The Tiger",she threatened to jump off the stage and kick his ass, lol.

Interestingly, the superior "Too Tough" (also produced by Narada) was originally intended for Phyllis, but it was given to Angela Bofill instead.

lol

Not my favorite, but that's kinda my point--stylistically, he's all over the place....If someone were to ask what his music was like, I'd say '"it depends -- what year are we talking about?", lol
