nod i agree.

both these bands (top 2 male R&B bands of the 90's) blow jodeci and boyz ii men (top two male R&B singing groups) out the water....easily.

But let not 4get that Jodeci was also band too. DeVante wrote all their music and was great on keys and guitar (just like Teddy Riley).... while his brother Dalvin was a badass drummer (just like Aaron's brother Damion)....shit, man they were a southern verison of GUY. he he

Devante, as a teenager, left home in hope of joing Prince's band but Prince rejected him and sent him back home to Charlotte. I don't think many people knew he played any instruments because you never saw him on any. He always looked so thugged out in his videos. He used to be so fine, but he looks like an ugly crack addict, now.
Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth".

I think these two groups are evenly matched.

everybody knows this already.....he played piano, guitar, bass guitar, etc.....he was madd talented....when u look at just about all the tracks on the jodeci albums, you see "all instruments all played and arranged by devante swing" (except forever my lady of course were al b sure produced the title track). dude was a beast. c'mon we aint gonna forget that. but yes they were kind of a band too, but they aint seeing tony toni tone or mint (jodeci used to be my fav outta all these groups though, but as i got older, the ranks have changed). but lets not forget 90% of jodeci's uptempo stuff wasnt up to par with their competitors. devante's songwriting as well, was so simple, yet so strong at the same time when combined with his prodcution....we all know all of this already. and he went to audition for prince, or something like that back in the late 80's but got turned away so him and jojo, and k-ci drove to new york instead, while dalvin tagged along (dalvin had no plans of being in the group in the first place) etc...and the story goes on....i think everybody knows the jodeci story already.

and dalvin was a beast on the drums, remember him live doing 'lately' at the mtv uptown unpplugged jam? and that drum solo he has where he showcased his drumming skills there???

they were great but TTT and MC were more of a true band than jodeci. thats why i still say MC and TTT >>> BIIM and Jodeci

outta these four tho, boyz ii men is definitely last.

The 1st time I saw Dalvin on the drums was at the end of his solo "Why Can't We Video" but I'm gonna check out that unplugged clip
