Its like when MIMI came out, and "Its like that" stalled at 17, stores were already getting call back requests on what they had stocked on the album, had We Belong Together not taken off then that album would have dropped like a stone. The thing with this record is they dont have anything strong to follow up, plus, its 5 years later, the industry is in its worst state ever, people could care less about Mariah or anyone else at this point. if that's how you want to define a bomb, fine, but that doesn't make it a fact. as to the rest, we'll have to wait for the follow up and see. thats how labels think, thats been the way for years now with artists that are demanding alot of $$$ in promo. You think if Beyonces first single was stalled at 14 that people wouldnt be saying the same, thats how it goes, the thing is that songs are flying by it that have no promo or at least artists that arent getting major money, i mean Pitbull? this guy has been doing the same rap for over a decade and he is sailing by people, he is actually still considered an INDIE artist. I wonder if she even knows that the label is trying to, once again, make her a self parody.

the prolem is they keep leading off her albums with these lame-ass tracks that have a foot in pop and a foot in hip-hop and really idiotic lyrics. like they're trying to "get the party started" or something and... that's just not what people are interested in hearing from Mariah. the Dreamlover, Fantasy, Honey, Heartbreaker model just doesn't work any more. and this new version of it that they've employed for the last 3 records is obviously even more broken. i thought she was getting back to her roots? and they start out, once again with a mid-tempo flavor of the week beat and some retarded lyrics?
come on. | |

come on. they were actually going for the retro sounding track as the lead single. but then eminem came out with his diss track, so she went back to the studio, made Obsessed and dropped it as a response to him. it definitely wasn't the smartest move, but if the follow up is good enough, then she had nothing to lose.

Please that was a fake Mariah back then. Tommy Motola gave her that little girl image. It was all a facade. The freaky Mariah is here to stay. I think this is good as she's gonna get. I am not sure what's wrong, but it's probably your fault!

He's a nut so why are you arguing with that fool??? You can't win. Exactly. I was tripping watching to a clip from Wendy Williams encouraging her and Nick to come at him harder for her honor. I was like "for what???". Give a fool enough rope, they get so locked into their egos and winning some imaginary matrix type bullshit game, they will eventually hang themselves. I say let him just have at it and bust as many nuts as he wants trying to keep up playground nonsense . I thought the dude that that does the hip hop blog for Yahoo also had some good points about this scenario, too: EMINEM SENDS MARIAH DEFAMATORY "WARNING" Posted Fri Jul 31, 2009 1:02am PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training Eminem we believe you. Over the last 10 years, I've heard both sides of the story. I really believe that you and Mariah had something going on at some point. I am not suggesting that I know how serious things got. I'm not saying that I believe your accounts that you and Mariah were intimate. I wasn't there. And Dude, that is not my business. I don't need or want to know. But you can't take it personal that Mariah denies that you had a relationship. You have to be careful about how you approach this. Mariah has successfully depicted you as a psychopath, and you continue to feed into it. After denying that you guys ever dated, Mariah released a song and video that claimed that someone is "Obsessed" with her. She put just enough info in the song to make people suspect that you are the obsessed person. Em, Mariah's "Obsessed" is a great video, and it worked. Then what do you do? You fall into the trap. You blow up. Go nuts and release "The Warning" that says admittedly embarrassing things about yourself as a means to prove the nature of your relationship with Mariah. You threaten to release photos and audio tapes as further proof. Eminem, let me say this again, "WE BELIEVE YOU." Please relax. Mariah and her girlfriends are giggling about Crazy Boy (that's you) and sipping champagne. She will deny everything until the end. She can do this in her sleep. She's got a solid poker face. Even though you are upset that high class, superstar Mariah Carey won't admit that she hung out with the kid from the 8 mile, you don't have to resort to divulging such personal business. The lower you drop the bar, the more indecent it makes you look. You are still a guy who is publicly defaming a woman. That never goes over well. Em, to tell your circle of friends about you and Mariah is one thing. That is bad enough. But to make a record describing the details of your relationship with a woman and then put her name on it is not cool. At the end of the day, Mariah is still a woman. Despite how much she upset you, you don't need to take it there. You have a daughter that I know you love more than anything. The last thing you want is for some guy to ever show your daughter such a public display of disrespect. Marshall, it does not matter that Mariah won't admit to seeing you. You've done good for yourself. It's really no big deal. Why does the public need to know who you have dated anyway? Let it go. Holding on to it makes you look "Obsessed." ***** I hope both these fools have seen this.
