I dig Pulling Apart by Horses.. long and experimental

Hollow Earth vocals are sem-decent.. kindof annoying in some ways..

the vinyl is already sold out lol

i pre-ordered a copy on the day it showed up on waste but yesterday
when i downloaded the tracks off the site i decided i would order a
few more copies and sadly they were sold out, already.

the site never stated that it was a limited edition release but the
details of the package and the number of 8000 copies was reported
through various other news media.

the covershot of the vinyl 12" is included in the download of these
songs and it looks great. cut out version of the cover drawing that
is on the website. can't wait till it arrives.

meanwhile, the songs are both just great. "horses", in my oppinion,
is simply superb. everything about it is just fantastic. i've been
listening to that one on repeat over and over and over again.

next to that track, pretty much any other one will sound a bit off
in comparison but i think The Hollow Earth holds up pretty well.

i get totally hypnotised by that sound in it. the one that sounds
as if someone is lugging something behind them as they run down a
metal spiral staircase, down into the center of the earth, lol.

these tracks make me feel like the Amnesiac period and they've both
got that weird, haunting "house of leaves" feel to it as well.

oh and officially this is a Thom Yorke release, not a Radiohead one.

although, as Thom wrote, it's all becoming a bit muddled these days.

WTF?!?
Man there has been an onslaught of great music being released recently.
It's been a bit overwelming. I love it though.smile
Haven't heard these new tunes yet.
So is it Radiohead or Thom Yorke new solo stuff?
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

i think that thom is simply working on a lot of stuff and probably
the band wants to move more into band oriented material again, like
the stuff on In Rainbows.

the electronic things are all very cool but for a band they are a
bit uncomfortable since some members don't get to play on half of
the material.

yet thom finishes of songs that started out as band material and
releases them under his name, eventho johnny is on it too.

at the same time Harry Patch is also just johnny and thom, yet it
is labeled a radiohead tune.

i think they're as confused as us lol

the 12" arrived at my house, 10 minutes ago woot!

talk about fast, and good, service.

it looks very cool. all black and grey, except for
the lyrics on the inner sleeve.

outer sleeve is all black, with the lines cut out
like on the picture. artist name and track titles
printed black on black on the back.

very stylish and cool design.

Must sound amazing on vinyl. BTW, my favorite show, House, began its season premiere with Radiohead's "No Surprises". cloud9
