Its been a very ignored masterpiece IMO. It was released not long after Out of Time by REM and Woodface by Crowded House had become great hits. I think Horsebreaker Star shares a lot of the elements of these popular albums. Somehow it did get totally ignored (apart from a few raving music critics).

So first, I love how many Bowie fans are on here. I'm relatively new to the org and didn't expect that for whatever reason.

But I just noticed how many of you who are citing "Low" as your favorite. I've got every Bowie record ever made and can't understand how that is the one of choice for so many of you. The first half is brilliant and the second half is atmosphere/mood music.

I'm not saying it's bad by any stretch, it's just, well, I've got to be in the "mood" to listen to half of the album; which makes it a hard sell to be a top 10 all time for me.

Strange choice but love the lists....

damn. "achtung baby" and "low" are scoring high on these lists!
