bboy87 said: a letter from Taj a letter from a friend Those are interesting, but the one that really caught my eye was the one that mentions his "moslem wife". I decide to Google the name the see if it would bring anything up,and this is what I got.... Egyptian Queen Ankhersenamen Ankhesenamun (ˁnḫ-s-n-imn, “Her Life Is of Amun”; c. 1348 – after 1324 BCE) was a queen of the Eighteenth dynasty of Egypt. Born as Ankhesenpaaten, she was the third of six known daughters of the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten and his Great Royal Wife Nefertiti, and became the Great Royal Wife of her (half-)brother Tutankhamen.[1] The change in her name reflects the changes in Ancient Egyptian religion during her lifetime after her father's death. Her youth is well documented in the ancient reliefs and paintings of the reign of her parents. She was probably born in year 4 of Akhenaten's reign and by year 12 of her father's reign she was joined by her three younger sisters. He made his wife his co-regent and had his family portrayed in a realistic style in all official artwork. Ankhesenamun was definitely married to one king - she was the Great Royal Wife of pharaoh Tutankhamun (who may have been her half-brother). It is also possible that she was briefly married to Tutankhamun's successor, Ay.[2] It has also been posited that she may have been the great royal wife of her father, Akhenaten, after the possible death of her mother and co-regent of Akhenaten's immediate successor, Smenkhkare, who now is thought to have been a woman. this is a question for all the people who were around in the early 80s:
It's obvious his skin was already lighter in 1984, not to speak of 1985 or 86. Didn't people realize that? What did people think? What were the first rumours? 1984 is such a important year for MJ. He was at his popular peak, and yet it was the year when everything went downhill. The surgery, the skin, the Pepsi accident and his medical prescription addiction.

He was at his popular peak, and yet it was the year when everything went downhill. The surgery, the skin, the Pepsi accident and his medical prescription addiction. Well, look back a couple pages that's what we are arguing about. People noticed that he was lighter on the Thriller ablum and had a different nose, I'd say it wasn't that big of a deal yet, it was hard to find much mention of it. I believe people just assumed that he did it to gain a larger audience. All the conjecture just grew and grew and here we are all still arguing. It's obvious from pics he had a skin condition, and even in the eighties I assumed he wore rouge when I now know it was lupus. The Bad album was a turning point, I thought it was very bizarre how black people didn't say much about how white he turned, really really bizarre. As I said earlier, he wasn't even called upon to answer about it until the oprah interviews. People simply assumed he used some kind of lightener, even Teddy Riley said in a Rolling Stone interview something like "Michael regrets what he did but I tell him 'look, you can't go back and fix your skin'" That's a rough paraphrase. Quincy always presumed he bleached. Eric Dyson says this quite eloquently in the Ebony Commemorative: "The reason Black folk never turned their backs on Michael is because we realized that he was merely acting out on his face what we collectively have been tempted to do in our souls: whitewash the memory and trace of our offending blackness. We loved him because we knew that America Rarely forgives a Black man his genius, and our greatest artists often pay the price for the acceptance of their gifts with tortured psyches, haunted spirits and troubled minds."

Michael Jackson's Children Spend Weekend in Vegas August 23, 2009 With their grandma by their side, Michael Jackson's children had a splashing good time over the weekend in Las Vegas. Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. "Blanket"), 7, were spotted at the Palms Casino Resort's pool sipping on virgin strawberry-banana daiquiri's on Sunday. They, along with three friends, dunked each other in the pool and swam around for more than two hours. Blanket, wearing a life preserver, even showed some of his moves, dancing on the edge of the pool before jumping in the water. Katherine Jackson kept a close eye, accompanied by a friend and nanny, and smiled over the pool-side antics. It wasn't all fun in the sun, though, as the children dined in fashion, too. With their uncle Jermiane with them on Saturday night, the family had dinner at Vegas hotspot N9NE Steakhouse's private dining room. It may have seemed like just a quiet weekend at home to them though – the kids lived at the Palms Hotel with their father for about two months in early 2008. http://www.people.com/peo...46,00.html

What the hell was that? So are you telling us that MJ is still alive talking to us as Dr. Murrey and that this is just a show he´s playing with us? Well, whatever.... The only funny thing is that actually we felt Murrey sounded and was trying to imitate Mike when it was released.... Can´t believe that I am even thinking about it.... June 26, 2009 | 12:25 pm My father loves to brag to his friends that while his son is a big-shot Hollywood reporter, it was his father who actually met Michael Jackson. Until he retired a few years ago, my dad had a store called the 24 Collection on the Lincoln Road Mall in Miami Beach that specialized in fashion, jewelry, art and one-of-a-kind oddities (I still have a clock set into a Cuban cigar box with a portrait of Fidel Castro on the clock face). One day Brett Ratner, who grew up in Miami and whose mother was a regular customer at the store, called my dad and asked if he could bring his pal Michael Jackson by to look around. As he often did as a courtesy for celebrities who might be annoyed or hounded, my father closed the store that afternoon and put the staff at Jackson's disposal. "Michael walked around every inch of the store, feeling things, smelling things," my father remembers. "He'd ask questions about what this was or that was, where it was from, how we found it. I made sure the staff didn't intrude on him, although one person did ask for an autograph, which made them an ex-employee right away. But Michael was just off in his own world, curious about everything he saw." I think my dad got his hopes up when he saw that Jackson was also accompanied by an aide who had a zippered envelope full of cash. But the King of Pop never bought anything. After spending an hour in the store, he just thanked everyone for letting him look around and left. I called Ratner this morning to ask him how he became such fast friends with Jackson. It turns out that they met in 1998 when Ratner was finishing his first "Rush Hour" picture. One day, Chris Tucker was doing a scene and broke into a wild, Michael Jackson-style dance. The sequence was so funny that when Ratner had test screenings of the film, it got one of the biggest laughs in the picture. But because it was an obvious Jackson impression, Ratner knew he had to clear it with the pop star before he could put it in the movie. That presented a problem, since Jackson was so reclusive that even Ratner, one of the great celebrity schmoozers of our time, couldn't get to him. He even called Jackson's Neverland ranch but never got anywhere. Then he got lucky. "My editor was talking to the projectionist who ran the final screening and it turned out that he was Michael's personal projectionist," Ratner told me today. "So I gave him the print and asked him to play the beginning of the second reel for Michael, which had Chris' dance in it." Two days later Ratner picked up the phone and heard the soft, feathery voice of Michael Jackson. So what did Michael say? Keep reading. "Michael said he'd watched the whole movie and loved it, especially the scene Chris did with his dance. He said, 'You have my permission to use whatever you want.' " That was great, but Ratner needed something in writing. When he asked Jackson to sign something on a piece of paper, Jackson simply invited him up to the ranch. "So I drove up there and walked in, with all his giraffes and other animals, all out there to greet me." Ratner recalls. "I ended up staying at the ranch and we just became great friends. We both had this huge, almost childlike fascination with movies and music and all kinds of entertainment." Over the years, Ratner and Jackson spent an enormous amount of time together. They would film each other, with Jackson asking Ratner about how he became a film director and Ratner asking Jackson about how he became an entertainer. "I have hours of footage of us, sitting around in our pajamas, with me asking him about what kind of music he loved as a kid, what kind of books he had on the wall as a kid. When you were with him, you really felt like God was within him. He was an amazing, superhuman kind of person, but he always treated you as an equal. He would be your friend and he never asked for anything in return." One of their favorite activities was to have dance-offs in the game room at Jackson's house. Jackson would put on a record, usually a song by his sister, Janet, and unleash some awesome dance moves. Then Ratner or Chris Tucker, who would sometimes come along, would play Michael's records and dance along to them. I asked Ratner if that felt a little like a mere mortal playing one-on-one with LeBron James. "Hey, I wasn't self-conscious. I'm a pretty good dancer. It was just fun to do it together." When they weren't dancing, Ratner and Jackson would watch movies together. He says they must've watched the original version of "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" 50 times over the years. "I know that people looked at Michael and thought he was strange, but to me, he was fascinating," Ratner says. "He was the most inspirational person in my life. His one dream was to cure all the sick children in the world. And when I'd say, 'Isn't that impossible?' Michael would just start to cry. He was very emotional about things that moved him. I guess you'd have to say he was a pure innocent in a world that wasn't so innocent anymore." http://latimesblogs.latim...human.html Thanks for posting. I love Brat. I think he´s really good friend to him. I wish he´d release that footage cause this is really funny. This is cute. Michael Jackson's mother praises Vienna tribute
(AP) – 5 hours ago VIENNA — Michael Jackson's mother says next month's global tribute for the King of Pop in Vienna is "a wonderful idea" that her son would have loved. The Sept. 26 event — being planned by Jackson's brother Jermaine — will take place in front of a 17th-century palace. The performers haven't been announced, but the event is expected to draw thousands of people. Jermaine has said Vienna was chosen as the venue because his brother "loved castles." Katherine Jackson says in a letter that the tribute — to be broadcast to a global audience — will give millions of fans the opportunity to experience Michael Jackson's music and celebrate his life. The hand-signed letter is dated Thursday and was made public Monday by the Austrian event promoters, World Awards Media GmbH. Michael Jackson died aged 50 on June 25. Jackson's Memorabilia Fight: Mom vs. Estate August 24 The Michael Jackson tour clicked posthumously into higher gear on Aug. 21 with a court approving a traveling exhibition of the late superstar's memorabilia to coincide with the Oct. 28 opening of This Is It, a film of Jackson preparing for the comeback tour aborted by his death. The court overruled his mother Katherine, who was apparently unhappy about aspects of the plan. Even as the decision was made, one other member of the Jackson clan urged caution about any rush to cash in. Taj Jackson, 36, the late entertainer's nephew (the son of his brother Tito), says that the projects would benefit from more "family input" to ensure his uncle's legacy is protected. He adds: "I don't want this to turn into something like 'let's make as much money as we can.'" On the afternoon of Aug. 21, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved concert promoter AEG Live's plan for touring Jackson mementos in three yet-to-be-identified cities. The move came despite objections by Michael's mother Katherine Jackson, who did not attend the hearing. "We are bit confused as to why Mrs. Jackson objected. We didn't agree with the objection," says Howard Weitzman, the attorney for the administrators of Jackson's estate (who are, in accordance with his 2002 will, John Branca, an entertainment lawyer and friend of the superstar, and John McClain, a music executive). The estate administrators manage the late singer's music catalog (which includes the work of the Beatles) as well as his estimated $400 million in debt. Weitzman told reporters that the approved deal is worth "multiple-million dollars" and that "the opportunities are huge." The Associated Press, which put the deal at $6 million, reported that Katherine Jackson, who is not an executor of the estate, may have wanted the memorabilia tour put out for competitive bids. As it is, Weitzman says, the AEG-owned Arts and Exhibitions International, which recently organized an international showcase featuring the relics of King Tut, has been contracted to handle the King of Pop's wares on the road. Weitzman also hints that there is more to come. "It would be an understatement to say that there's a lot we're working on," he says. "All that I think would generate significant revenues." Lawyers for AEG Live have been coy about what items will be on the tour. But they will now be on display as the movie opens. This Is It tickets go on sale on Sept. 27, with the film being in theaters for only two weeks. Distributor Sony also officially confirmed that High School Musical 2 director Kenny Ortega would pull together the hundreds of hours of footage Jackson shot during rehearsals for the This Is It tour. Ortega has said the movie will be an "intimate portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call." But Taj Jackson voices concern about his uncle's legacy, particularly the movie, which has had its release fast-forwarded by a couple of days. He worries that not only is there insufficient time to prepare the film carefully but that his late uncle might not have intended for the footage to be made public. Based on the small clip of rehearsal footage already released, Taj Jackson says, "I don't think it was up to his standard. It seemed like he was blocking [rehearsing and setting up stage movements]." Taj says his "perfectionist" uncle had previously used such footage to improve his performances and did not intend it for public viewing. Further, he told TIME outside the courtroom, any deadline — especially a shortened one — was a cause for worry. Oct. 28, he says, "is pretty fast for working through 800 hours of rehearsal footage. I don't want to rush this. This will live forever ... People are worried that it's time-sensitive, that people are going to lose interest. But that's not how Michael operated." http://www.time.com/time/...55,00.html [Edited 8/24/09 10:55am]
