Hair Metal Appreciation!

I absolutely love hair metal. I listened to it a lot when I was a teenager in the 90's! Please let's give it up for...

Faster Pussycat
L.A.Guns
Warrant
Bon Jovi
Skid Row
Cinderella
Hanoi Rocks
Stryper

Feel free to add to the list. Anyone still listen to these bands today?

Warren DeMartini keeps getting better as a guitar player. That's why the RATT album in 2009 will be worth checking. Crue did a great job on "Saints Of LA" exactly what Motley should sounds like. Nikki's book was a good read.

both Skid Row albums rock but the second really was the shit! Slaughre were cool too.

Lets's also not forget Guns n' Roses although I still don't really think of them as hair metal. they were in a class by themselves!

LA Guns with Phil and Tracii. Though the others were cool, the original best.

BTW: The nine Izzy Stradlin solo albums are excellent. Way underrated songwriter in the GNR pack.

Izzy Stradlin & the Ju Ju Hounds
117°
Ride On
River
On Down the Road
Like a Dog
Miami
Fire, the acoustic album
Concrete

Not sure about anyone but Phil and Tracii. I believe also Phil still has the original drummer in his version of LA Guns? The guy that was in WASP. I've followed Tracii Guns. He did a project with Nikki Sixx called Brides of Destruction.

Love Nikki Sixx's "Heroin Diaries" cd and book:

Also being a Prince fan I found the Denise Matthews/Vanity stuff interesting. Nice to see they both got off the junk.

I remember some demos/rehearsals of Extreme back in the day and the tapes sold me on them being a solid funk/rock band.

I didn't like Skids as a matter of fact thought Sebastian Bach was a total ass on the vh1 supergroup show. Then I seen him live and got it. It totally changed my opinion about the guy. He is 110% about playing live, all about his fans. I couldn't help but love the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the stage.
