It's hard to believe that this the same woman who sang, "It's good to be the queen" and I believe, "Love is strange", as a part of Mickey and Sylvia. This was among my favorite songs of the 70's.

Yeah this song and Love won't let me wait were two of the
nastiest songs during this time period. Hell i was six years
old when Pillow Talk was out and i knew she wasn't singing
about no damn pillow talking.

I agree. But the difference between this song and the songs of today, is all in their approach. They told the same story without telling the whole story, and it did not hurt that they all had a great groove to back them up. To this day, when I hear "Love Won't Let Me Wait", I break out in a sweat, the girl making those noises, does it to me every time.
