Michael....

DAMN I miss him.
That is all I could keep thinking as I watched this trailer.
The same little kid in me who smiled when I saw "Moonwalker" for the first time, nearly balled my eyes out watching the trailer. It really hit me at the VMAs, when Michael didn't walk out, that he really is GONE. FOREVER.

His absence is felt so deeply on so many levels in my life. And the saddest thing of all is, while this movie may bring back his memory, he is gone, and still worse, I know I'm not alone with those feelings.

you're not the only one.
I don't think people will realise what they missed out on until they've seen this for themselves.
I really think MJ was doing something special for the fans this time and was utilising all the latest technology out there to bring us a great vision.

I think MJ was giving us something more spectacular that only he could give.
It would have blown the previous tours out of the water thats for sure.

For 50 years old, he could sure still move !!!

this muthafucka right here named BBOY87 WILL BE all up in the movie theater on October 28th! lol

lol Me too. I cannot not go.

damn right!
MJ sure knew how to put a show on, and these would have been the Ultimate shows that everyone would have talked about for years.

While the haters will say he was rehashing, we all know that he was putting new spins on his classic material. Look at the damn lighting, clothing etc, it looks amazing compared to any of his previous tours like Dangerous or History.

He was doing 3D, wild stunts, amazing dancers, and probably some other crazy shit we will never get to see.

It would have been fucking value for money.

I for one am gutted I will never get to see him do them live.

What a fucking shame!!
While cocks like Kanye get to live, the king MJ has to pass away.

Life is too fucking harsh!!

I feel ya.

See, I know this is going to sound stupid, harsh, and not right but whenever I see Joseph, I always think to myself, damn, he´s gonna be here till 110 and Mike...

I wonder how much this will generate at the box-office. I know it's only a two week run, but could be interesting, i think it will get an extension.

Movie: This Is It
Starring: Michael Jackson
Director: Kenny Ortega
Entertainment Weekly Fall Movie Preview 2009

In life, Michael Jackson was always a hot ticket.
Even the late-career concerts he had been scheduled to perform in London starting July 8 had sold out--all 50 of them.

Now, following the King of Pop's tragic death on June 25, fans are clamoring to see some of the hundreds of hours of rehearsal footage shot in L.A. in the weeks before he collapsed. They'll get their wish. Less than three weeks after Jackson's death, top Sony executives huddled to watch nearly 45 minutes of rehearsal video -- then paid $60 million for the rights to produce a posthumous concert film.

"It was jaw-dropping", said Sony vice chairman Jeff Blake. "It was as if you were at the concert. He looked amazing, and the performances were absolutely to his highest standard." Concert director Kenny Ortega is scrambilng to assemble a feature-length film, which will include 18 to 20 dance numbers as well as candid moments Jackson shared with his dancers and various friends who stopped by rehearsals.

The studio is also working out technical details to try to include 3-D vignettes Jackson hoped to project on screens during the shows, including one set to "Thriller".

Concert goers were going to receive 3-D glasses. No word yet if moviegoers will, but either way, fans are in for an intimate experience.

I hope this is true. I also hope they release the "2 live albums" like they talked about releasing earlier this summer. I'd also like to see all 100 hours, or at the very least, tons of songs performed IN FULL on the DVD. (Or at least as much of the actual rehearsals that were done, ala The Dangerous Rehearsals.)
Oh and some cool special features and booklets would be nice.

My favorite singer passed away, and Monday night, I would have been in London watching this amazing show LIVE, so I feel like I have the right to have big expectations for this DVD.
