i agree totally one of the big differences between prince and mj is the amount of filler on a prince album he has ten times more filler tracks then michael, michael with quincy jones 3 albums had none, and any mj imitator on youtube would do a better job singing a mj song then prince.prince is a genius yes but he still isnt in m.j.s league.when michael was on the ed sullivan show in 1969-1970 prince was reading his moms smut magazines, while prince was singing about having sex with his sister, michael was rocking the world with the off the wall album,an album after 35 years of releasing albums prince hasnt come close to.in fact michael jackson in 1979 had more talent then a 2009 prince....michael was the greatest artist that ever lived, and he took that title to the grave, everyone else now until the end of time will be battling for number 2 3 4....berry gordy said it best.when he said these words.which need to be carved on michaels gravestone. MICHAEL JACKSON DOESNT COME ALONG ONCE IN A LIFETIME,HE COMES ALONG ONCE.....AMEN.

and Prince has released 30+ albums in the past 30 years whereas Michael has released 6.

taste have ever is subjective

In Michael's 40 year career, he released as a member of The Jackson 5/Jacksons and as a solo artist over 30 albums and 2 live albums

I'd have him do Never Can Say Goodbye with a melodic just my imgaintion-like solo at the end. nod

That sounds good right there. I would love to hear him do Billie Jean or Rock With You. I'd probably look like eek and lol watching it.

Prince could do Liberian Girl or Why You Wanna Trip on Me

Prince could take any Mj song and do it better that he EVER could.

Umm, yeah. Ok. bored

-----

There was one time when I thought about the MJ songs Prince could possibly cover well vocally, and the list I came up with was this:

1) Just Good Friends (Singing it solo).
2) Give In To Me
3) D.S.
4) Superfly Sister
5) Break of Dawn (Maybe....)
6) Butterflies (Maybe....)
7) Privacy

However, recently, after thinking about it more, I've changed my mind, and I don't want to hear Prince sing any of Michael's songs. Only instrumentals, like Miles Davis, Santana, etc.

Here's a question for this thread.

1. If Prince really were to do a tribute to Michael Jackson, what song could you see him doing?

2. Would he sing, only play an instrument during the song or both?

Prince could make In the Closet work well I think.
