Help me make a Zappa mix for the birthday girl!

Because my brain is ouch this week and I am a lazy bastard, I need some recommendations for a Zappa-centric mix CD.

Now, when you make your suggestions, keep in mind that this mix is for our very own VENDETTA/STYMIE/Ivy, whose birthday is today (so wish her happy birthday, dammit!).

I have a fair to partly cloudy command of Zappa's catalog, and I also inherited just about every Zappa CD known to man, which lord knows I haven't had the time to completely dig through.

I have faves from Freak Out, and my favorite era of his is probably around the time of Sheik Yerbouti/You Are What You Is, so left to my own devices I'm probably gonna put together a very late-70s heavy compilation. Can anyone help me mix it up with some early 70s gems or some 80s instrumental gems?

Thanks in advance, ya motherlovers.

We won't leave you stuck out. They have a lot of TR fans here who will help.

I'll list my personal list I have on I-Tunes.

"theAudience" knows a lot of kewl tunes by Todd also so hopefully between the two of us you'll have a nice list.

Cran's Todd Mix.

Open My Eyes (The Nazz)
We Gotta Get You A Woman
Hello It's Me
Can We Still Be Friends
I Saw The Light
Love Is The Answer
Rock And Roll P****
It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference
Manup
Just One Victory
Real Man
Determination
Hurting For You
If That's The Way You Feel (The Nazz)
Back Of Your Mind (The Nazz)
When I Get My Plane (The Nazz)
Is It A Star (Hall And Oates) Produced by Todd and it features him on guitar.
God Said

Other songs I that like that I will add to my playlist are:

Someday We'll Know (Hall and Oates with Todd on vocals.)
The Last Ride
The Waiting Game

Hope this helps a little.

i know (and love) a lot of what's on your list...i'm familiar with his hits and the big radio favorites. my mom used to listen to a lot of the old utopia stuff when i was a kid, but i don't remember any of it. i also remember he did a lot of soundtrack work on pee wee's playhouse, which i thought was pretty cool.

Very nice TR list (especially the Nazz tracks). thumbs up!

I'd be quite happy to contribute.
It'll include more Utopia and other less played solo cuts.

paligap would also be a valuable contributor.
