FAIL.

rolleyes

If you can't see the influence, well, you're blind, cuz everyone else is seein' it!

LOL! Please. It's not my problem if indeed you weren't aware of the sample. I suggest you go listen to Edge of Seventeen. The people on this thread who know what is being sampled agree - there is no MJ influnce on the song itself, unless MJ was somehow Stevie Nicks in 1981. Bitch is even in the video. How can there be "a lot" of his influence on the track if it's built around a sample from another artist whose music is totally unrelated?

The video is a different matter.

The hell are you on about? I KNOW it's a Stevie Nicks sample, who doesn't know that? She's IN the goddamn video. I never said the music was completely and utterly MJ and nobody else. I said there's a lot of INFLUENCES or references, if you will. The "hee hee"s, the stuttering throughout Kelly's verses. Then the video has a routine similar to Billie Jean and a few Thriller moves.

It's not that big a deal, are you an MJ hater or something?

How is there a lot of MJ influence on this track when the entire song is constructed from a Stevie Nicks sample? LOL.

I don't get why a song can't have more than one artist's influence on it?
