80s R&B groove of the day: "I Just Want To Love You" by Stanley Clarke and George Duke (1981) Unfortunately,the sound quality on this video is poor but for those of you who have the album,you already know about this great song.The 'Clarke/Duke Project' was such an inspired collaboration.

I dug that whole album, too --actually, it was one of the ones I posted in that '1980-1982' thread... I actually saw Stanley and George's show later that year, here in DC at Constitution Hall, and they turned it out!! That was a fun concert! ... I have an older sister and I was the tag along kid that always earned cool points (or at least I'd like to think I did) from the older crowd with the songs I would play.
