We just got home from seeing Jody Watley in concert.
If you have never seen Jody Watley in concert, you're missing out. She has not only held up fabulously, she puts on a hell of a live show! We originally decided to go as an 80's flashback "goofy" night out. You'll be surprised by the quality and power of her voice. The records really pale in comparison. They must've dubbed her voice DOWN in those records. I mean, I love them but what a shame.
I'd love her to do a Jazz album. She could totally pull it off.

After her performance, she graciously met with fans. I, of course did not pass up the opportunity to "talk art". She was warm and sweet and ever so charming.

One of the cool things was that hits like "Looking for a New Love" were done in a funky (band-oriented) way.
