actually, it's not that dumb. i have a few mugs that were sold at concert merch tables. i actually prefer them to buying t-shirts. they don't fade anywhere near as quickly, the mug lasts longer than a shirt after repeated washings, one size fits all, and you can share it with people. i'm very happy with my grace mug. and my bowie mug. and my prince mug.
