MJ/Prince (O2 conert dates)

Not to start another Prince Vs. MJ thread, but I thought this was interesting....In a new interview with HITS magazine, MJ's former manager, Frank DiLeo, talks about working with Michael on what would have been the "This Is It" concerts and says MJ wanted to beat Prince's record of show dates at the O2 and get in the Guinness Book of World Records. You can read the interview at the link below:

I always took the MJ "record" O2 thing as strictly relative. What are the criteria for this record? The time element has to be the main variable. Would it be a record, for instance, if Madonna did 51 shows in a month longer than MJ would have done it? What gives Prince the record are the number of shows and people that attended over such a short period of time? Would MJ have exceeded that number in the same amount of time? I don't know. Frankly, I had my doubts that MJ would have finished this tour without canceling numerous dates and rescheduling them later; thus considerably extending the time of the tour itself. Sadly, we'll never find out.
