Van Hunt live 7/26/09 What up all, i just went and saw Van Hunt live on7/26/09 at the House of Blues in San Diego. It was in one of the small banquet rooms on the side of the main venue and my girlfriend and I sat about 7 feet away from where he and the band were performing. Van Hunt is a man who is not afraid to take chances live, in fact a majority of the music he played was jam session style, tight and funky. He played a lot of his lesser known stuff, but played his more familiar songs like Dust at the end of the night. The highlight of the evening was when he came out and did an encore and dedicated a song to my girlfriend. PLus it earned me mad brownie points. I don't care what people say on here about him being a Prince rip off and all, whatever, Dude puts on a hell of a show and is one nice guy to boot. He met and took pictures with every single one of the fans that came out to see the show. That was great. Looking forward to seeing him again in August at the Zanzabar in Santa Monica, California Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

I'm happy, but not surprised you had a great time Did he play all the tracks from Use in Case of Emergency? How did he look? How many musicians was he playing with? If you will, so will I | |
