Steve Vai - Where The Wild Things Are Guitar legend Steve Vai will release his concert film and live CD Where The Wild Things Are September 29th, 2009 on Favored Nations Records. The show was recorded and filmed at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN before a sold-out audience as part of Vai's successful Sound Theories world tour. Where The Wild Things Are is Vai's 21st solo project contributing to his 20,000,000 unit worldwide sales that have accumulated over his 30 year career. The 2 hour and 40 minute set contains several new tracks and re-orchestrated pieces culled from his rich catalog. http://favorednations.com...a-preview/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I saw a few segments during post-production. Already knowing how good the guy is, I was still stunned by some of the things he was doing. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 7/29/09 15:11pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I love Steve Vai... but why does he sing? He's got a nice voice... but I don't know... I just prefer him just playing the guitar...

Thanks for the heads up on the vid.
i remember reading back in the day that this song was inspired by the way he wished Prince played guitar. Apparently, Prince wasn't explosive enough.

awesome,
Excellent tour, with wonderful musicians. Thank god Steve has the balls to do what he wants and the violin players are superb. Tight band, great people, great crew, all around one of my favorite travelling circus's. Steve is so fng humble for someone with his chops! Good Stuff! Music is the best...
