Michael Jackson unreleased Youtube is jammed packed with unreleased MJ music. I have re-visited a lot of his stuff recently and am gaining an appreciation for how great he was. I had tossed him off or cast him aside for a long time. However, he really did put out some incredible stuff. It is that voice that is 'magical'. He just always sounded so amazing (except for the grunting and groaning tendancy) on his last albums. Lesser known tracks like 'money' or 'whatever happens' are just excellent.
However, it's the unreleased stuff that's floating on Youtube that really has be taking a 2nd look. I've heard a few first rate tracks in the last few days. I don't know if they were always there or if someone is raiding his private collections, but the song he did with Freddy Mercury "there must be more to life than this' is probably up there with his best songs. For him to sit on this one, really opens my eyes to how great he actually was. All these years I've ben impressed with how Prince keeps some of his best stuff in teh vault. This song is as good as anything Prince has (circulating). It's MJ's voice that is so sincere. Being a long time Prince fan, inevitably the comparisons will certainly begin. in my opinion, Prince , in terms of star power, is obviously a dim bulb compared to the hot sun that Michael was. Of course musically, Prince is/was more daring but is there anyone else like Prince in that regard? ON stage, I think it is a mmatter of taste, of course to me you can't touch Prince. However when it comes to just song writing, MJ is right up there. He simply wrote beautiful songs although the Freddy duet may have been a Freedy written song. What I have noticed now listening to a lot MJ is that Michael did not 'mail it in'...no matter how crappy (Unbreakable), Michael seemed to be putting 100% into it. There is a sincerity there. With Prince, there are some tracks and even performances that just seem like he's on auto pilot. You just don't see Prince sweat that often anymore. I love them both..have read some books on MJ and am as confused as ever. Mj is infinitely more likeable. I think that's one argument that most would agree on. tx

Yeah, I am as convinced as ever that MJ cared more for his fans than Prince ever did or will.

If the mods allowed it, I'd post a pile of tracks here "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

So this is probably old news, but that dodgy "7EVEN" album circulating, is half fake...
"SOMEONE PUT YOUR OUT" (is officially on The Ultimate Collection" "SHOUT" is the Teddy Riley produced b-side of "CRY. "WHY" duet with MJ and 3T is on 3T's "Brotherhood" CD - 1995. "I NEED YOU" - also 3T, MJ on backing vocals. finally "WHAT MORE CAN I GIVE" - the 9/11 charity track remains unreleased, so it is the ONLY song on "7EVEN" that is of any value. The rest, are by a young singer - Jason Malachi, and are wrongly credited to MJ - "Xcape" "Let Me Let Go" "Mamacita" and some other pretty ordinary tracks.

bboy87 - out of interest - what unreleased songs do you have? I've collected them through the years but it would be interesting to know how many I don't have!

What more can I give? is not unreleased. Michael performed it live at "United We Stand" in Washington in October 2001, and the studio version was officially released online as an mp3 a year later.
