I was sent this song on cassette by a fellow Prince fan years ago because they thought it was a duet with Prince.
I'd never heard it before but even though it wasn't Prince I really liked the song.

I'd never heard it before but even though it wasn't Prince I really liked the song. The male voice was Mike Francis--but a kool song anyway ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

I really love this song! It appears on a collection of hers which of course concentrates on her disco stuff (which is really good...not just "Knock On Wood"). I wonder if her other eighties material is good. I don't think it's easy to find.

Come to think of it, this was the only tune I remember hearing from her in the mid-80's--and I could never find the albums, only the single! ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

I think that guy on the radio was confused or he said "Friends"... LOVE THIS SONG. Reminds me of my mom. She used to sing it while washing the dishes over and over. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
