Best Coda's in music My vote has to go for "Knocks Me off My Feet" It just could go on forever and ever with the "I don't wanna bore... you with it! Oh but I love you I love you I love you"
'As' does the same thing too... and that monster is like 8 minutes long, lol.. so whats your favs? At this point in history, we have a choice to make

I just remembered what is possibly my all-time favorite coda:
I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man (Prince). The week before SOTT album came out, I was listening to radio, cruising the dial, and I stumbled upon that slow, swampy guitar part. Had no idea what it was but I liked it. This was WJLB Detroit, the Elecrifying Mojo's Sunday night show. Then, out of nowhere, the songs picks up steam again, the singer yelps "whooo!" and the groove is back, hook in, and it's done. It's new Prince! I thought...what great memories. By the way, I prefer the official SOTT mix of this song to the Dream Factory outtake - a better build up, longer and more exciting. I Want You (Intro Jam)-Marvin Gaye-It's called an intro, but I felt like it should've been placed at the end of the album. I could listen 2 that trumpet and sax play on for at least 2 more minutes.
Love's Holiday-Earth Wind and Fire-Man just listen 2 Maurice scat over Al McKay/Johnny Graham's guitars.... A Love Of Your Own-Average White Band-Once again another scat by Alan Gorrie over a waling sax by Roger Ball. [Edited 7/27/09 13:54pm] | |
